We have for sale a silver plated coffee maker. The lid is green depression glass and the metal handles are green along with the on and off handle on the spout. The silver has come off in some areas. On the underneath side it reads "quality brand- great northern mfg. co, chicago, IL USA" the last patent date is Sept. 9, 1924. On the depression glass it has "cardella mfg. co., cleveland ohio break-no-more" The lid glows under a black light. It weighs 3 pounds and measures 13.125 x 7.25 x 8.875. Antique French silver plated jardinière signed Gallia hallmarked and numbered. The jardinière has its original liner and is beautifully decorated with the face of Bacchus. The handles are two coiled snakes. The detail and quality are exceptional. Length 18 inches, width 8-1/2 inches, height 5-1/2 inches. The bowl has a gilt wash interior and measures 4-1/4 inches high with a 12 inch diameter. The top side of the bowl is marked Silver Plated, ARG IL LEONE, a lion head and CESELLATO A MANO. Beautiful antique Sheffield silver plated Victorian monumental open salt. It has a pedestal base with lovely Victorian high relief sculptured decorations. The diameter at the base is 4-1/4 inches. The diameter at the top is 4 inches. Height 4-3/8 inches. Weight 15 troy ounces. Provenance the Corbel personal collection Los Angeles California. Mr. Corbel passed away shortly after selling his business in 2000. This was part of his personal collection of outstanding silver and silver plated items. It is in excellent condition. Extraordinary Elkington & Co. signed and numbered silver plated ornate large jewelry box. The box is decorated with high relief sculptured flying cherubs and floral wreaths. The top of the box has a beautiful nude lady riding in a shell formed chariot pulled by butterflies and driven by a cherub. At the base in front of the chariot is another cherub riding on a mythological dolphin. The inside has its original dark blue velvet interior. The underside is marked Elkington & Co. with other markings and numbers. Please click on enlargements to see the detailed markings on the bottom. This is an exquisite antique Elkington jewelry box with wonderful high relief sculptured cherubs and designs. The box is 5-1/2 inches long, 3-1/4 inches wide, and 3-1/2 inches high. It is in excellent condition, no dents, dings, or scratches. It just needs a gentle polishing to look as new. One can see this box was carefully handled and enjoyed by its last owner. I would imagine that is why it is shaped as a tealeaf. It has three crowns as a hall mark but I am uncertain what that denotes. A good piece to use on your coffee table or tea tray.
