LOCAL PICK UP IS PREFERED, SHIPPING CAN BE DISCUSSED. $1500.00 OBO If the ad is still up, it is still available. This came from a home in Wisconsin (where we used to live) that was furnished in original period Art Deco. Now it's time for us to pass it on as we downsize, sell and move. It is a classic piece. I believe it is solid oak (looks like oak to me). It is heavy. This piece served as the master bedroom closet before they invented actual closets. The interior bracket/notches for a closet rod to hang clothes are still intact SEE PHOTO. The front panels are screwed in, see picture. The solid wood interior shelves were handmade by me and are all wood peg and notched together so it can be disassembled easily. If you don't like the shelves, leave them here. I designed the shelves for use with entertainment equipment. The bottom six spaces are perfect height for LPs just in time for the vinyl revival. There is a stop tacked in the back to keep the LPs from going in too deep and to keep them lined up perfectly (I'm kind of fussy about that). I don't have many LPs in there now, but you get the idea from the lower left space SEE PHOTO. The top two shelves are perfect for CDs/DVDs/books. The doors do close all the way. The amp I have in there is just a little too big. The left door has a latching knob at the top that will keep it closed. Two lower drawers have metal pulls--I think they are brass. Both drawers hold a lot. I made a small hole in the back of the wardrobe, about even with the bottom shelf, to put the plug through so I could have a power strip/surge suppressor to plug the electrical components into. I have a very small light, like you would use over a painting, at the top, inside, were the two doors meet. It is more for ambience than effect. Of course, none of the items shown in the wardrobe are included in the sale. This is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship from another area. Please consider how beautiful it will look in your home.
