Attractive English oak box of 9" box, carries two charming extended 16" telescope & 2" d. brass compass. Blue lining textile Interior, sectional, and in spectacular condition, They are functional. According to the research recently being accomplished , we are unable to identify as Original. To be determined by collector. The box is 3.25" deep. x 3.5" length. Ornate beautiful brass engraving art deco style tag, hings, noted Henry Barrow & Co. Telescope has covered cap, charming stitch and brass , hardware, also noted Henry Barrow & Co. London in Etching. The Empty Section inside the box has been AS IS . The Object was at private sale of Estate.

Brass meat jack, dating from the late 19th century. Wind-up keyed mechanism - you insert your clock key into the keyhole, wind the gadget up, suspend the meat you want spit roasted from the lower hook, and hang the jack in the fireplace where it will turn around, giving the meat a rotisserie finish. Stamped with the maker's name: T.Duddlesto Maker Warranted. Condition: It has a few dents, and one screw is absent from the base (should be easy enough to get a brass replacement). Otherwise, a very handsome item. Unfortunately I can't find a clock key of the right size to wind this item, so cannot test the mechanism. It appears to have been recently oiled. (selling on consignment). Needs a key with internal measurements 4 mm x 4 mm minimum. Heavy. « Less
