We have for sale an antique dark oak mission arts & crafts rocking chair. The chair has a padded cushion seat. The wood is dark and very attractive. It is solid, sturdy and heavy. We did not find a makers mark. There is a fine line in the wood on the back side at the top. I don't know if that is a repair or just natural to the wood. It stands 35 7/8 inches tall by 26 3/4 inches from side to side and 33 3/4 inches from front to back. It weighs 56 pounds. UPS Freight or Greyhound will be the shippers. Each chairs consists of a tall and arched seatback standing upon a large seat supported by a pair of boldly sculpted baluster legs connected to the straight back legs by straight bars that insure stability and sturdiness. Note that the previous owner covered the chairs with burgundy simili leather and also replaced the springs by more recent ones making this set ready to use. Circa date 1950.
