Antique Georgian porcelain lot consisting of two tea bowls and a plate / saucer. Made in Worcester, England, during the so-called Dr Wall period 1755 - 1783. Measurements: Saucer is 4 1/2 inches diameter and 3/4 inches high; Larger bowl is 3 inches diameter and 1 3/4 inches high; Smaller bowl is 2 3/4 inches diameter and 1 1/2 inches high. All pieces are blue and white. They each have a double border of two concentric rings on the upper rim. The saucer, much like a shallow bowl (the custom was to drink the tea from the saucer, which t fore had curved sides, like a bowl) is very richly decorated in a Chinese influenced pattern with pavilions, fences, flowers, pagods, insects, rocks and flying birds. Great detail and variety. The mark underneath the saucer is the crescent moon with cross-hatching. T are other impressed marks, which are either meaningless or we do not know their significance. T is a tiny kiln crack on the rim of the saucer - see ''photos. The larger of the two cups has deep blue floral decoration with butterflies flitting amongst the flowers. The flowers include roses, morning glory and other typical flowers from an English garden. A small flower nestles at the inside bottom of the bowl. The mark underneath is a solid crescent moon. T are one or two minute fleabites on the bottom rim of this bowl - quite negligible considering the age of the piece. (see ''photos). The smaller of the two bowls has a flow blue decoration that includes flowers, grassy knolls and landscape and even two flow blue birds near a Chinese pagoda and landscape. It also has a small flower in the inside of the bowl. T is a wide range of shades of blue on this particular piece. The mark underneath is an open crescent. One or two negligible fleabites on the bottom rim. General condition is very good. Please enquire about the Dr Wall blue and white teapot that complements this group. Status: For Sale Reference#: 3694 Condition: good Year: 1755 Title: ANTIQUE WORCESTER DR WALL LOT TEA BOWL SAUCER 1755 - 83 « Less

Antique Old Paris cup and saucer with a handpainted vignette of mythological figures. Made in Paris, France, early 19th century. Cup is 3 1/4 inches tall. Saucer is almost 5 More »
Antique Old Paris cup and saucer with a handpainted vignette of mythological figures. Made in Paris, France, early 19th century. Cup is 3 1/4 inches tall. Saucer is almost 5 1/2 inches in diameter. Both cup and saucer have wonderful gilding covering a large part of the surface, including the inside of the cup. The gilding is embellished with a very refined pattern of flowers and foliage with the gilt. This must have been a very sophisticated technique as heating the gold was a complicated matter. It also indicates that this cup and saucer were intended to be particularly lavish and luxurious. The cup is elegant and narrow and typical of the Napoleonic era and similar cups from 1815 can be seen. The handle has a moulded white flower within the upper scroll, above which is a gilded, moulded embellishment, that looks partially like a cornucopia and partially like the helmet of a Roman warrior. The front of the cup has a wide reserve with a polychrom handpainted scene with characters from Classic mythology. A goddess playing with Cupid, lifts his quiver high in the air. Beautifully painted trees around them. The whole is clearly done by a highly competent artist and is most charming in character and execution. Like most Old Paris porcelain, t are no marks under the cup/saucer. Both cup and saucer are in very good condition. No chips/cracks/damage/restoration of any sort. Very minor gilt loss. Status: For Sale Reference#: 3692 Condition: good Year: 1830 Title: ANTIQUE OLD PARIS GILDED CUP SAUCER W HP CUPID GODDESS « Less

Antique Art Deco pottery vase in the Golden Leaves, # 4921 pattern. Designed by Charlotte Rhead for Crown Ducal, England, 1930''s. 5 3/4 inches high. Art Deco modelled More »
Antique Art Deco pottery vase in the Golden Leaves, # 4921 pattern. Designed by Charlotte Rhead for Crown Ducal, England, 1930''s. 5 3/4 inches high. Art Deco modelled shape with different widths and steps, reminiscent of the skyskraper design of the era. Additional interest is from the unusual handles - each consisting of a series of loops and attached at different heights to the body of the vase. The body has a mottled creamy orange ground and is tube lined in lustrous steel grey. Rim and handles as well as some leaves are painted in a metallic soft gold, which is highly unusual and attractive. The pattern, which forms an almost continuous frieze around the vase, is Golden Leaves, #4921, which features bright orange flowers and foliage. Marked underneath: blue Crown Ducal backstam with crown over Crown Ducal Made in England; embossed 211. in a rectangle; handwritten 4921, which is the pattern number of Golden Leaves and Rhead with the R underlined and an F underneath it. At least two circles impressed into the body are probably the result of supports of the vase in the kiln. A sticker from the previous owner has been left under the vase (the vase was part of an impressive glass and pottery collection). Condition is very good: no chips/cracks/damage/restoration of any sort to be found. Status: For Sale Reference#: 3655 Condition: good Year: 1945 Title: ANTIQUE CHARLOTTE RHEAD CROWN DUCAL POTTERY DECO VASE « Less

Antique porcelain pate sur pate urn vase. Made in Lichte Germany, 1890 - early 20th century by GEBRUDER HEUBACH. Measures approx 7 inches tall. The front has a large pink (with soft grey overtones) oval reserve, outlined in gold, containing a marvellous pate sur pate vignette of a fairy sitting on a flowered, rocky outcrop, holding a large boquet of flowers in one hand. Vintage signed Charlotte Rhead pottery ginger jar / potpourrhi. Made by H.J. Wood Ltd Bursley Ware, England, and is pattern T.L. 4 Measures: just under 6 inches high. More »
Vintage signed Charlotte Rhead pottery ginger jar / potpourrhi. Made by H.J. Wood Ltd Bursley Ware, England, and is pattern T.L. 4 Measures: just under 6 inches high. Coming from an esteemed collection of pottery and glass, this was sold to me as a potpourri jar, but I believe it is a ginger jar since t are no holes in the lid. Classic ginger jar shape with lid. The ground colour is pale blue mottled with grey - almost lilac. The surface has handpainted flowers in purple and pink with star-shaped bright yellow centres. A stylised foliage pattern in purple with yellow dots forms a band on the shoulders with parallel yellow bands on either side of it. This pattern is repeated on the slope of the lid. The foliage, main dome of the lid, tube-lining and ends are in a lustre glaze of soft gold - very gentle and pretty. The jar is marked underneath with Bursley-Ware Charlotte Rhead and England in handwritten script. The pattern number TL4 in brown over an O and impressed 44. The jar is in very good condition with no chips/cracks/damage/restoration of any sort to be found. NOTE:the correct date which is 1943-1960. Charlotte worked for wood & sons from 1912-1920s but none of her items were marked with her name, her name first appeared in 1926 when she worked for Burgess & Leigh. Rococco style pottery with moulded shells and scrolls on the rims, both upper and lower. The entire ceramic body is glazed in white and handpainted in blue patterns, with lots of scattered flowers, foliage and a classic Dutch farm scene with outbuildings and windmills in the landscape. Even the back has been painted and is very attractive. T are 3 compartments for holding papers.
