Circa 1780 Chinese Export Tea Bowl with a monogrammed initial with streamers and two hearts. This is lowenstoft, as Elinor would say. A tea bowl measuring 3 1/2" in diameter andv 1 7/8" in depth. The outside border is 80% rubbed off from handling over the past 200 years. The border on the inside is decorated with blue stars with a goldish swag that is not worn too badly. The outside center is a armorial crest with streamers of blue and gold ribbons going down toward a crest with two blue hearts decorated in blue stars with the monogrammed initials of L M W. I have no idea who it was for or if it is historically important, but for the price it would make a great holiday gift to a collector.   « Less

Circa 1840 Chinese Export Sacred Bird and Butterfly Shallow Soup Plate measuring over 9 7/8" in diameter and a hair over 1 1/2" in depth. To find this size soup plates in the bird and butterfly pattern is Rare. I remember years ago when I acquired a 200 piece set in Maine it had soup plates but they were about 9" in diameter as I recall. This is a beautiful plate with a nice tight pattern filled with orange birds, butterflies,tree branches and leaves. Very Good Condition with nice gilded border with no chips. Might be a little nick repair but nothing more than that no restoration that I can see.   « Less

To Chinese Export Small Demitasse Cups. Both of these cups date Circa 1800, maybe last quarter of the 18th century around 1780. One is a famille rose cup measuring 2 3/8" in height ant the top opening measuring 2 3/8" in diameter. Wear to the famille rose decoration and pitting on inside of the cup. The other cup also dates from 1780-1800 Chinese Export with a urn painted in blue with flowers and a bird on top. This cup measures 2 5/8" in height and the top oprning is also 2 5/8". We feel that this cup was made for the American Market. One tiny nick on the rim. Rim is also decorated in blue and gold on the outside and inside of the cup.   « Less

Circa 1830 Chinese Export Rose Mandarin Plate with the twin carp/fish border. This is a pattern with this unusual border that is not seen often. We have had this in the past but it has been several years since we have had one. Nice central Mandarin scene with six ladies gathered around a table. The border has six fish scenes in orange and dark brown. The plate is nicely decorated in mandarin colors and the plate has one repaired nick and no other chips, cracks or restoration.   « Less
