This is a 19th century German portico clock. The clock stands 16" high and the base is 8 3/4" wide. We had the clock running for a while, now it isn't, so we are selling as a non- working clock. The only ID we see is the Made in Germany on the face. The main component is metal and the columns are a lucite like material. Displays very well and has only minor loss to the brass color. The face under glass has some discoloration.   « Less

For sale we have a Seth Thomas mantle clock. Quite possibly the nicest veneer we have ever seen. A deep rich, almost reddish mahogany finish. The original label is still attached to the back door, and part of it talks about the finish and it also reads Adamantine Clock Patented Sept. 7 1880. There are 2 keys inside the clock. We are selling this as not working. Stands almost 12" high and is almost 13" long and 5" deep. The front bottom has a little veneer trouble as shown. Displays very well but will need work.   « Less

Description: You are viewing a gorgeous French rococo style clock with two cherubs either side in the manner of Linke. I hope the photos do this stunning work some justice, it's certainly more impressive in the flesh and would certainly be the centrepiece to any home collection. The details to this are exquisite and I hope the photos do this some justice. True to the rococo aesthetic this is covered in shell motifs, curls, floral sprays, flowers and other arabesques. It really is outstanding and would make a wonderful addition to any home scheme. The clock is wind up and comes with the key and is in full working order. It is offered in great shape and we will ship to anywhere in the world. We bought this from a dealer in Montmartre whilst on a recent French buying trip. Beautiful antique circa 1800 Mercury gilt bronze French clock depicting a beautiful lady standing next to a column with a harp and a sculptured cherub in the center of the harp. The clock is signed Picnot Pere and under that reads A PARIS. The clock has a scientific and astronomical design. The bottom portion has high relief sculptured children with telescopes, books and measuring devices on the front of the clock. It also has a sculpture of the world with astrological figures in high relief circling the world. Above the world is a palm tree. On either side are columns, measuring devices, artist brushes and pallet, books, and architectural structures. The theme is astronomy. Although the bronze sculptured clock case is superb the clock face is not perfect. It is missing a the hour hand. A clock maker could find a hand for it or a pair of new ones that would look good. The clock measures 19-1/2 inches high, 13-1/4 inches wide and 5 inches deep. The lady figure standing on the floral wreath measures 12 inches high to the top of her hair. Weight 25 lbs. This is a very ornately detailed and extremely high quality clock. The detail and composition are superb. Guaranteed to please the most particular collector or connoisseur. (Item #72831)   « Less

We have for sale an extra nice Royal Bonn porcelain case model "La Cette" with an Ansonia clock. The case was made from 1836 to 1930 in Bonn, Germany. The clock was made by Ansonia in New York. It has a porcelain face with glass door trimmed out with brass. It is an 8 day clock that strikes on the hour and 1/2 hour. The case is done in blues, green and gold color with the flowers in pink and yellow. There is no cracks or chips. It runs good. It is 12 inches tall by 12 1/4 inches from side to side and 5 7/8 inches wide and weighs 10 pounds. UPS ground will be the shipper. The clock works good. The striking spring shows wear. The case is oak with a glass door trim in brass.
