Hubba, hubba! Let's hope this beautiful golfer doesn't do anything to chip her deep red, high-gloss nail polish! Signed E. 1930s
Offered is a pair of early football etchings by Rosamond Tudor (American, 1878-1949). Ms. Tudor was apparently a pioneer in newspaper illustration of sporting events. These pieces show a great feel for the action -- one a running play, the other showing the passed football still in midair. Both are pencil signed "Rosamond Tudor" as well as being signed "Tudor" in the plate. The measurements listed below are for the framed pieces. One etching is 7 1/2"h. x 11 3/4"w., and the other is 7 3/4"h. x 11 1/2"w. « Less

Probably France.
19th century
These two framed pairs of miniatures depict four aristocratic ladies, hand-painted, each in a gold plated oval within an ivory parquet surround. Three of the four are painted by the same person, whose signature is somewhat indistinguishable, while the fourth says simply, "Mary." Each presented on a black velvet background. The price is for both framed sets, and while we prefer to sell them together, we will consider breaking up the pair to sell them individually. The measurements below refer to the entire framed piece. The painted images are 3 1/2"h. x 2 1/2"w. « Less

This painting represents the underworld battle with oneself for consciousness.
About: Paul John Wonner (April 24, 1920 - April 23, 2008) was an American artist who was born in Tucson, Arizona. He received a B.A. in 1952, an M.A. in 1953, and an M.L.S. in 1955 - all from the University of California, Berkeley. He rose to prominence in the 1950s as an abstract expressionist associated with the Bay Area Figurative Movement, along with his partner, Theophilus Brown (1919- ), whom he met in 1952 while attending graduate school. In 1956, Wonner started painting a series of dreamlike male bathers and boys with bouquets. In 1962, he began teaching at the University of California, Los Angeles. By the end of the 1960s, he had abandoned his loose figurative style and focused exclusively on still-lifes in a hyper realist style. Wonner died April 23, 2008 in San Francisco, California. « Less

We have for sale a gorgeous oil painting. The painting and frame is very old. We have estimated it is in the early 1800's, although I do not know the exact age or date. The painting is signed. We have pictures of the signature, we are in hopes someone will recognize the signature. The colors are still bright and vivid. Although I do know it needs cleaned by a professional. There are no cuts or torn places on the canvas, there is a place where the paint is worn on the right hand side. The frame is in real good condition, however it does have some wear on the corners.
