Adorable mother owl and baby by Howard Pierce. MINT CONDITION. No chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind. Bottom of momma is stamped HOWARD PIERCE. The momma owl is 5" tall and 3 3/4" wide and the baby owl is 3" tall and 2 1/2" wide. Howard Pierce had an incredible artistic talent and ability to capture the essence of his subjects through ceramic art. Howard Pierce's California pottery consisted of distinctively modern figurines of animals, birds and people. Howard Pierce was a highly talented artist and a one-man studio potter who started his work in the 1940's and continued up until his death in 1994. « Less

Katrich pottery is typically only available through prestigious shows and fairs where often times he sells out of his extremely limited production vessels. Most of Mr. Katrich's pottery goes into private collections as soon as he offers for sale and it is rare to see examples of his work available in the secondary market.
