This is a wonderful old piece of French Arts & crafts / Art Nouveau pottery. Denbac pitcher, with a typical Denbac green and ocher glaze, Number 234 in the Denbac catalog issued in 1934. Total height : 7.6''. It is in mint condition, as can be seen in the pictures. No lines, chips, cracks, repairs or any other fault. The signature at the bottom is perfect too. Three piece jardiniere and vase set, Art Nouveau, France. This lovely handpainted set depicts peaches on the trees in beautiful natuaralistic color. Very finely detailed, the condition is very good, no chips or breaks. There is craquelure of the glaze on all three pieces. The two vases are marked on the base 604 and 2 with a butterfly, the jardiniere is marked 604, 2, LG and a butterfly. Dimensions: Vases: 13.5 inches high x 9.5 inches wide at the handles; jardiniere: 7 inches high x 15.5 inches wide at handles x 8.5 inches deep. These pieces are either a very hard majolica, or porcelain or VERY thin ironstone. They have quite a ring when tapped with a fingernail. It is quite rare to find a set in this good of condition and this lovely. Baluster shaped vase by Boch Freres Keramis. Excellent condition, no damage. Marked on bottom B.F.K. in hand script over a line with 12 under the line, the number 271(or 274) incised. This pattern number (12) does exist in the Boch Freres Keramis archives and was only used with this form. Brick colored base, bottom, exterior and interior. Exquisite colors in the metallic iridized detail glazes on a rich brown base; design of ivy leaves and berries, with a band at the neck of stylized flower roundels between scroll accents. The techniques used to place the design on the body of the vase is called chalcography. Art Nouveau period, before 1900 (by the style number). France, circa early 1885-1895. Excellent condition, turning marks on the vase original to manufacture. Dimensions: 10.32 inches high x 7.3 inches diameter at the body.
