Antique Art Deco Mid-West Mnf., 6 Light, top-of-the-line, chandelier with original shades.
This chandelier was the best from the line that Mid-West called "The Beverly". Nice composition for the more Streamline design motif of the 1936 Deco era.
The color of the fixture is old gold finish with nickel accents. Very striking. The chandelier could be lengthened or shortened by adding/subtracting chain links.
We have totally rewired this light with high grade sockets and new central lead wire. Sockets are UL approved for up to 100 watts each. Please Note: If using incandescent bulbs, we recommend no higher than 60 to 65 watts, due to the heat emitted from higher wattages which can potentially damage old glass shades. If more light is necessary, energy efficient bulbs such as compact fluorescents or LED bulbs can be used. These emit more light with less heat.
Also...the bottom finial is actually a 3-way switch. This means that you can light just the bottom two disk sockets...or...just the five slip shade sockets...or...all seven sockets together. This gives the chandelier a potential night light function.
Measurements:
•Height: 22†tall with the two chain links as shown. Can be shortened another inch by removing one of the links.
•Spread: 19†diameter.
Comes complete with shades and ready to hang. Price is $984.50 plus $50.00 for Ground Shipping within the contiguous 48 states.

A very neat shell motif British theatre chandelier. This chandelier, and sconces that match it, are often called “Odeon Lights†since the main movie house chain in Britain named all their theatres “Odeonâ€. In fact...â€Odeon†is often a synonymous term for a movie theatre, i.e. “Let’s go to the Odeonâ€.
This chandelier was used with frosted, amber, and even pink tinted shades around the turn of the century. In older British theaters, you can still see them existing where they have been for over half a century or more.
We have rewired this chandelier to UL American standards with a new American center socket cluster for three bulbs. One bulb lights each shade, with each socket rated for up to 100 watts. However, antique shades can be quite fragile and easily susceptible to damage from excess heat, so we recommend no more than 60 - 65 watts if you choose to use incandescent light bulbs. If brighter light is needed, today's LED and Compact Fluorescent light bulbs make good substitutions...they have a greater lumen output without the excess heat of incandescent bulbs.
The chandelier is ready to hang with an American standard light mounting kit which we will supply.
Measurements:
•Height: 18†tall to the bottom of the finial.
•Width: 14 ½"
Price: $742.50 for the chandelier, complete with the amber shades shown, plus $50.00 for Ground Shipping within the contiguous 48 states.

Circa 1935, flat glass chandeliers were being produced by some very interesting companies during the latter part of the 30s and many appear in some very notable buildings. For one example, please enter “Images for Myers Chandelier Australia†in the Google Images search box. Many more like these are sprinkled in Chicago and New York as well.
So many elements working together for a fantastic result:
•Metal...brass/bronze cast metal. The castings are pierced and reticulated, which is so very hard to do when you are a foundry. We know...we do this with other less tricky jobs. The designs are simply gorgeous.
•Glass...while frosted, the panels are also beveled, showcasing the quality of the fixture...and all of them are in remarkable condition.
•Colors...contrasting the natural and aged brass work, we have an original green finish from the 30’s...no touch up has been done...just a VERY mild cleaning. All in all, very striking.
Because our electricians fell in love with this fixture, they pressured a unique lighting solution. The light WAS so under-lighted (originally), they wanted to rewire this lovely chandelier with a California approved LED light solution...which we agreed to...and they have done. There are now FIVE corn cob style 10 watt LED light bulbs in the bottom bowl, each having a lumen output equivalent of about 100 watts incandescent. There is also a 27 watt LED bulb in the center ornamentation, to give it a very nice presence. A top-of-the-line quality lighting solution for a top-of-the-line flat panel chandelier.
Measurements:
•Height: 30"
•Diameter: 17"
$1,375.00 for a very nice complete & rewired chandelier in original condition (except for the addition of state of the art LED lights, which are included)...plus $50.00 for careful Ground Shipping within the contiguous 48 states.

So nice to be able to offer another really nice light to you. Here we have one of the scarce lights of the Deco era from Mid West MFG.
This is the 6 light Soleure chandelier. Mid West only made the best quality lighting. This chandelier is solid bronze with a great original finish.
The castings are so beautiful as well, with lots of pierced parts which are...were...so hard to do, as any casting man will tell you. The finish does have some minor flakes and thinning but it also has a nice mellow appearance and most antiquers would not touch this lovely aged finish.
This light has been totally rewired as well, with five new sockets, and a new main stem wire.
Measurements:
•Height: 30"
•Diameter: 23"...shade tip to shade tip.
•Canopy Diameter: 7"
The five shades are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, and they all match each other very well.
Price: $1,375.00, plus $50.00 for Ground Shipping within the contiguous 48 states.

Nice original pewter, with gold accents, Art Deco slip shade chandelier.
Totally iconic with original finish, and with lovely amber near mint shades.
Isco showed this fixture in their 1935 catalog and named it “The Georgian Lineâ€. While Isco was a reseller of other company’s chandeliers, it is believed that they also were manufacturers on a smaller scale. Since this chandelier appears in their catalog only, it can be assumed that they were the makers of this lovely light.
Completely rewired to in our certified UL lamp shop with new bakelite sockets. Each socket is capable of a 100 watt incandescent bulb...however, we recommend no more than 60 to 65 watts incandescent, due to the the heat emitted by these bulbs which can damage antique glass shades. Of course, LED or Compact Fluorescent light bulbs can be substituted, as these emit more light without too much excessive heat.

1920s bank light, which is timeless...Deco...Edwardian...Art & Crafts...
We were fortunate to obtain five of these fantastic original bank or commercial building lights. We have restored one at this time, and we are offering it now. If multiples are desired, we can accommodate with an allowance for some restoration time.
The metal is steel and iron, with some minor brass elements, all finished out in an old gold finish. Naturally, with time, this old gold has become like a worn Persian carpet...i.e. a bit muted, and a little thin here and there. But...being purists at heart, we are NOT re-doing the gold, and instead are leaving it as cleaned up a little. It is an antique after all.
When this fixture was originally built, there was not much of a UL to speak of...so they played fast and loose with the wiring. But, we are a UL shop, and cannot do that. So, in the rewiring of this antique, we separated the lights into three circuits, and added a ground wire for the internal wire used. All three circuits come together in the canopy where one #12 wire unites the three circuits for installation. All new porcelain sockets were installed, and now this item is truly up to modern code.
Measurements:
•Large Rim: 20 sockets, with a diameter of 48 ½".
•Small Rim: 4 sockets, with a diameter of 18".
•Height: Present height is 55", but can be shortened by as much as 15" if desired. Naturally...it also can be lengthened to any length.
Completely rewired to UL standards in our UL certified lamp shop with new porcelain sockets. Each socket is capable of 100 watts. We only put a 40 watt bulb into each socket, but much larger wattages are available for these "G" type (Globe) light bulbs if a total of 960 watts is not deemed sufficient. Bulbs “do†come with the fixture.
A heavy duty mounting kit will be supplied.
Simply a great find for that classic ambiance returned. Going onto the net and looking up 20s banks and commercial buildings, this type of light will often be found in several of those old pictures. Where did they all go? We have found very few indeed. Especially in multiples.
Price: $2,695.00 each, plus Freight Shipping costs.
Freight costs will be calculated and invoiced separately after purchase. If you would like a freight quote before purchase, please contact us...we would be happy to provide one!

Art Deco "Nile" chandelier by Lincoln Mnf, from a family called “The Nile Group," circa 1935.
An original antique chandelier with original antique glassware, but fully re-wired in our UL shop to be code compliant and UL approved.
Lincoln was an aluminum foundry that only offered a couple of finishes for their fixtures. One was gold highlights (as demonstrated by this chandelier), or completely covered with gold. The accent technique is, in our opinion, far more attractive, and of the period. Old gold is ageless, and not bracketed for a period or style.
The casting technique for the reticulated panels is simply great. Even Sears sold this fixture, and can be found in the Sears lighting catalogs of the times.
Simply elegant, and quality to the maximum.
We took our picture with a mere 15 watt bulb so the camera lens would focus on the entire chandelier and shade detail...not get blown out by the strong bulb.
This chandelier has have been completely rewired in our UL shop with new sockets and all new wire. It will be supplied with all the necessary mounting hardware.

Fantastic Art Deco 1930s chandelier. This is such an unusual light, it is hard to find a place to start.
First, it is a 6 light fixture. Five of the lights are on the outside on the arms (in the gorgeous amber shades), and one is in the center behind the fine cut-glass center panels. This center socket gives you three options for décor. You can use an amber light bulb...or a plain frosted tube light bulb...or even shut it off, since the 3 way switch at the bottom of the light turns the center light bulb on and off.
This chandelier has been re-wired in our UL lamp shop with new sockets and wire to UL standards. Each new socket can easily take a 100 watt bulb giving a total of 600 watts of light if so desired. Of course, LED bulbs are neat too.
Going that extra mile...that we like to do...the rotary switch near the bottom finial, is what is called a three-way switch. It allows you to turn the center light on ONLY (night light)...or turn the five shades outside ONLY...or turn both the inside and outside lights on together. This ability to vary the lighting gives lots of decorating possibilities.
The five cut glass center panels are just plain gorgeous. They slip in from the top, and I am pleased to say that they are in mint condition with so little roughness that it is not worth discussing. Compare the design in the center panels to the design on the arms holding the shades, and you will notice that they match...and the scrolls on the glass panels also match the scrolls on the metal supports. All so very nice.
The shades for each of the arms, while being lovely mellow amber, are also in outstanding condition with only the most minor of roughness.
The metal of the chandelier is, I believe, aluminum with some iron and steel for the main fixture metals, which has a nice ambiance of a pewter finish. All a very nice appearance.
We had one of these about 3 years ago...its shades were darker, but it still sold quickly. The buyer was delighted, and we can see why...what a statement it makes!
Measurements:
•Overall Height: 24"
•Overall Diameter: 18"
Price: $1,375.00, which includes all the shades and lovely center panels.

Pair of wrought iron chandeliers from turn-of-the-century...Circa 1920 or so. Hard to date accurately, but the quality and the original cloth wiring helped us. Heavy and well made!
We have restored the sockets and wiring completely in our UL shop, and they are ready to hang.
The glass shades are all unique. This is because they are hand-blown and free-blown, which means in the air...but not into a die. So every single shade is hand done and a bit different. All the glass is in near-mint condition, and each has a beautiful crackle glass surface. They add a rustic and unique accent to these fixtures.
The cast lion face masks between each shade are rather striking, and do pose a certain attitude. All rather Medieval Gothic. I like how the area below the shade is bulbous, which imitates an oil lamp reservoir, but of course only functions as a design characteristic now.
Measurements:
Height: 28", but can be adjusted by adding chain links, or an additional rod supsension for a slight additional cost.
Diameter: 25"
All mounting hardware will be supplied.
Price for the complete pair of Gothic chandeliers with shades: $3,080.00 plus Freight Shipping.
