Set of 4 demi size dessert coffee cups. Item# 12353 Circa 1920 Cups 2'' tall plates 4 1/2'' Luster orange inside the black matt cups. Decorative medallions on each cup feature a lady under blue sky with trees and clouds. The plates are trimmed in black with gold trim luster centers and abstract initials. LK. Reported to be from the Santa Barbara estate of Harry Cohn. The set has some loss of gold on the handles and rims but are stunning in quality and execution. Found at a local art sale this graceful ceramic bowl. It is signed Martin by the very shy artist that I bought it from. It is 13'' in diameter and that includes a reticulated swirling 2 1/2'' border. The rim is unfired white pottery over glazed by swirls of high fired turqoise blue circles of porcelain. The shallow bowl is solid turquoise. There are whimsical open circles in the rim at irregular spacing. This is a lovely decorative and useful piece.
