A true high-end quality, original, cast iron, antique frame with a lovely reddish bronzed finish. Circa 1935. This Art Deco slip shade chandelier was top-of-the-line for this series of Art Deco lighting using this type of shade. The reddish-bronzed finish is simply superb. This fixture is in oh-so-near-mint condition. The shades are simply in fantastic condition. Measuring 27 1/2" tall, with a diameter of about 21 1/2" from shade tip to shade tip, this is truly a magnificent offering. The decor of this chandelier is simply stunning. If you have been holding back for that truly outstanding chandelier of this type, we believe that this might be it. To make it better, please note that this antique fixture has been completely re-wired with all new sockets, new wire, and is ready to hang. Unique is the fact that this chandelier has a three way switch. Since the center has a socket, it can be lighted separately to use as a low level ambiance or as a night light. Then a rotary turn to the next position lights up 2 of the outside shades while the third turn lights everything. Note also that the center glass has a beveled top edge that picks up the light nicely. Each of the outside shades is capable of accepting a 100 watt bulb...or...purchase our optional 60-WW-E26 LED Art Deco looking bulb. It consumes only 7 watts while putting out about 75 watts of incandescent equivalent lighting. Stunning antique five-light figural cast iron chandelier with original polychrome finish, dating from the early 1900s. This fixture begins in a simple canopy with twisted trim. It comes down in chain to a decorative loop finial with two stylized dolphins. A central twisted rod rests in a hammered lower bowl and is surrounded by intricate iron bands ornamented with scrolling foliage. Five foliate chandelier arms reach out from the chandelier's base, each supporting a bobeche with crimped edges. The fixture finishes in a double volute finial. This chandelier is in excellent condition and comes with all necessary attachments for modern installation. It measures 20" wide, 18-1/2" tall, and 33" long overall.   « Less

So nice to be able to offer another really nice light to you. Here we have one of the scarce lights of the deco era from Mid West MFG. This is the 5 light Soleure chandelier. Mid West only made the best quality lighting. This chandelier is solid bronze with a great original finish. The castings are so beautiful as well, with lots of pierced parts which are...were...so hard to do, as any casting man will tell you. The finish does have some minor flakes and thinning but it also has a nice mellow appearance and most antiquers would not touch this lovely aged finish. This light has been totally re-wired as well, with five new sockets and a new main stem wire. The drop of this light now is 30 inches, and it has a diameter of about 20 inches.....shade tip to shade tip. The ceiling canopy measures about 7 inches in diameter. The five shades are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, and they all match each other very well. Measurements: Overall height is 30"; overall diameter is 20". Top of the line, Markel produced circa 1930's, cast iron chandelier with a dark red bronze finish. A true high end quality original cast iron antique frame with a lovely reddish bronzed finish. Circa 1930 by Markel. This 6 shade chandelier was top-of-the-line. Markel 8800 series of slip shade lighting used this style of shade...and only one family of lights did use this shade. Markel did not give names to his series of lights, only numbers. So, this chandelier had the number 8836, which was a 7 light (socket) chandelier with six shades. Absolutely the top of this 8800 line. The bottom shade has two sockets for two smaller bulbs. The bronzed finish is simply superb. This fixture is in oh-so-near-mint condition. The shades are simply in fantastic condition. The only thing that might be worth noting is that the bottom shade has just a slightly different hue than the slip shades. This is a common occurrence with 6 shade fixtures, since the glass slip shades and bottom shade were usually made at different times, in different molds by different glass workers, but this should still be noted. Measuring 30" tall, with a diameter of about 20" from shade tip to shade tip, this is truly a magnificent offering. The decor of this chandelier is simply stunning. If you have been holding back for that truly outstanding piece, we believe that this could be it. To make it better, please note that this antique fixture has been completely rewired with new sockets, and new wire, and is ready to hang. A new three way switch, to replace the old one, was installed so you can directly control the fixture from the light itself. The switch will allow you to turn on the sockets in the bottom shade only, or two of the slip shades only, or everything all at once...and of course--off. There are three “on” positions with this switch as well as “off”. Many folks simply use chandeliers, with this 3-way option switch, in the “all on” position selected. A full mounting crossbar set will be included with this chandelier. A note about the pictures...while there is a slight difference in the bottom shade from the side slip shades, they are ALL a light amber color. The 5 slip shades that surround the fixture DO match perfectly, and are all a light amber color. Where those greens and strange other colors came from (in our pictures), can only be explained by Nikon or a professional camera person, of which, we are not. We assume it had something to do with using incandescent light bulbs and then different media flood lights. Best shade color picture probably is the close-up finial picture. Fabulous antique Neoclassical brass chandelier with original hand-cut shades, dating from the early 1900s. This fixture begins in a brass canopy with foliate trim, moving down in chain to a decorative loop finial. Below, four chains extend down from a leafy bowl, each supporting a curved chandelier arm that attaches to a bowl-shaped base. The intricately detailed arms feature bellflowers and foliage; each arm holds a brass fitter with a decorative crown of X's. Inside each fitter rests an original hand-cut glass shade with a gorgeous star and flower pattern. This chandelier is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the glass, just the expected fleabites around the edges. Fine Streamline Art Deco six shade chandelier...circa 1935 - 1937. The six shade versions of any light were always top of the line for all Art Deco slip shade series. This nice chandelier is finished in the “Venetian Bronze” finish. It was available in this nice old gold finish, with nickel highlights, during the '30's. It was definitely a contrast that was part of the Streamline statement in lighting. This chandelier has been totally re-wired in our UL approved shop, with new sockets and wires, and is ready to go. We will even supply a mounting kit so you can have it hung-up in no time. Nice original finish and shades. The metal is showing some of it’s 80 or so years, but the finish is probably considered “good” for this age. Measurements: 18” tall (could be lengthened by adding more chain), with a diameter of 16”. Magnificent antique Spanish Revival six-light chandelier with shields and intricate floral details. This chandelier was salvaged out of a Nashville, TN home and features a darkened nickel over bronze finish. It begins in a canopy with a hammered texture, working down in chain to a loop finial with a shield and ribbon motif. A piecrust crown tops a swirled center rod surrounded by leafy branches. Below, a hammered disc with studs surrounds the fixture, with six chandelier arms extending out to support crimped bobeches. The underside of the chandelier body features a pierced panel of incredible scrolling floral details. Undulating bands come down to finish the chandelier in a leafy crown and hanging finial. This chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all necessary attachments for modern installation. This fixture measures 23-1/4" wide, 23-1/4" tall, and 34-1/2" overall.   « Less
