Wonderful Royal Doulton bone china Alsatian in the hard to find large size. Approximately 9" tall. This Alsatian is from the championship series and was issued from 1937 and discontinued in 1960. The designer was Frederick Daws. Marks include HN 1115, Ch. Benign of Picardy, Royal Doulton logo, Bone China and the artist's initials (appear to be J.S.). Very good condition. Beautiful sterling silver sauce ladle by Tiffany & Company. This desirable pattern is called Broom Corn. Approximately 7 1/8" long. Monogrammed with what looks like MRK. Marks include TIFFANY & CO, STERLING, Pat 1890 and the capital M which dates this piece between 1875-1891. The pattern is crisp and clear and there is a slight gold wash to the bowl. Beautiful marine watercolor by William Frederick Paskell, American 1866-1951. Approximately 9 1/2" X 29" WITHOUT the frame. With the frame and matting it measures 16 1/2" x 36". Signed lower left Wm. Paskell. This painting has beautiful sunset colors as you can see by the photos. William Frederick Paskell was born in England on Oct. 5, 1866. He studied in Boston MA under JF DeBlois & Sanderson. He exhibited at the Boston Art Club & the Charitable Mechanics Association in Boston, 1884-1906. He worked in Cape Ann, Nantucket and New Hampshire. He travelled to Europe in the late 1880's. Died in Boston MA in 1951. He is well listed in Who's Who and Fieldings. Very good condition.   « Less

Signed lower left E. M. Ashe. Ashe was a painter, illustrator, teacher. He was born in Staten Island, NY in 1867 and died in 1941 in Mt. Pleasant, SC. He also lived in Westport, CT in 1905. He studied ASL. Member: NYWCC; Pittsburgh AA; Soc. Illus.; Silver Mine Guild; Norwalk founder; Westport AA. Began as journalistic illustrator working as a White House artist/correspodent for Leslie's Weekly, NY Tribune, NY World during the administrations of Wm. McKinley and Theo. Roosevelt, 1896-1904. He taught in Newark, NJ, Phila., and the Carnegie Institute. (Professor of painting and decoration) Small indentation over head of seamstress. Very good condition.   « Less
