Fabulous antique five light iron chandelier in its original polychrome finish, dating from the 1920s. This fixture begins in an understated canopy with gold stripes, coming down in chain to a decorative loop finial. Below it a fan of foliage crowns a baluster-shaped body with intricate leafy details. Five scrolling chandelier arms extend down and away from the body, each curling up to support a foliate bobeche. This chandelier is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all necessary attachments for modern installation. Lovely antique five light chandelier with original polychrome finish, dating from the 1920s. This iron chandelier begins in an understated canopy, coming down in chain to an oval loop finial. The body consists of a center rod surrounded by five iron bands, affixed to the rod near the top and bottom with green and red rosettes. Each band reaches up and out to create five scrolling chandelier arms, each supporting a round piecrust bobeche. This chandelier is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all necessary attachments for modern installation. This chandelier has an understated canopy and chain, leading down to a simple loop finial that supports a body constructed around a repurposed porch post. The boxed post features a fantastic white chipped paint finish with exposed wood throughout . Two wide metal bands surround the post's midsection and bottom; four rods extend horizontally from each band, creating eight chandelier arms. The arms bend upwards to support a simple disc wax pan, and the fixture finishes in a simple spherical finial. This chandelier is in excellent condition; it has been professionally wired and comes with all necessary attachments for modern installation. Striking antique five light Gothic Revival chandelier, made of cast brass and dating from the early 1900s. Salvaged out of St. Louis, this hammered chandelier begins in a simple canopy and works down in chain to a trefoil loop finial. A crenellated crown tops five undulating bands that form the chandelier body, each attached to the round disc base that features crimped edges and pierced floral details. Five hammered bobeches rest on the ring, each with piecrust edges and flower details. The lower body features hammered bands and trefoil details, finishing in a twisted ring finial. The chandelier is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all necessary attachments for modern installation. It measures 19-1/2” wide, 23-1/2” tall, and 37-1/2” long overall.   « Less

Really quite lovely. Ahh...the French....they sure did like their gorgeous amounts of design and elaboration. Here we have a fine chandelier that has elements of Art Nouveau and Art Deco together in one lovely fixture. Circa 1900-1910, it is truly a lovely chandelier. The shades are really quite unique. Heavy cast glass with heavy embossed designs. They are a deep shaded amber color, which is very earthy when not alight. With a strong bulb, they give an ambiance that is quite antique. We took our picture with a low output 15 watt bulb, so the camera would focus on the light and shade detail. A stronger bulb would have washed out the fine decorative elements of this fixture in our picture. This chandelier have been completely re-wired in our UL shop with new American sockets and all new wire. There are four normal sockets within the center bowl and each rim shade has a chandelier socket. Measurements: The overall sconce height is 30 1/2”. The maximum width (including the shades) is 26”. Price for the chandelier is “only” $1650.00, plus careful packing and shipping. I say “only” because if you have done some chandelier shopping elsewhere, you will know that some folks are asking upwards of $3,000 for a fixture of this type, and often, not as nice as this one. We’re more realistic and believe that fair pricing is best. Buyer to pay for freight shipping, which will be invoiced separately after checkout. Really quite lovely. Here we have a fine chandelier that just demonstrates the variations of the Art Deco design in one lovely fixture. Circa 1920 - 1930, it is truly a lovely chandelier. The shades are really quite unique. Heavy cast glass with heavy embossed designs. This chandelier has been completely re-wired in our UL shop with new American sockets and all new wire. There are three candelabrum sockets within the center bowl, so that light peeks out of the side windows and illuminates the bottom shade. The five shades around the center bowl are also wired with American candelabrum sockets built inside the original French/British style B-22 pin socket housing. Kinda clever so we can use the original shades without any noticeable difference at all. Measurements: The overall height is 36 1/2". The maximum width (including the shades) is 32". Price for the chandelier is "only" $1,815.00 plus careful packing and shipping. I say "only" because if you have done some chandelier shopping elsewhere, you will know that some folks are asking upwards of $3,000 for a fixture of this type, and often, not as nice as this one. This nice chandelier is finished in their “Venetian Bronze” finish (as Markel called it in their catalog of the times). This neat chandelier was available either in this nice “Venetian Bronze” finish or a nickel plated finish during that 1930's period. Nice original finish and frosted glass shades. Featuring original arrow prisms, this 1930s light fixture begins with a simple canopy coming down in a chain to a fluted finial with four sparkling prisms. Below, the tiered chandelier is topped with a curved glass dome, and is finished at the bottom in a large, faceted crystal ball. The light is in excellent condition.
