Gorgeous sterling silver repousee presentation water pitcher to Francis E. Getty FROM The Coca Cola Boys In Loving Appreciation Jan 1920. Approximately 9 7/8" tall at the highest point and 28 troy ounces. It is a good size and weight with the side measuring 9" from spout to handle. Beautifully decorated with a floral repousee design in high relief consisting of roses, daisys, and other flowers, leaves, stems and buds. The front under the spout is an acanthus leaf design also all over the handle.The cartouche in the front holds the inscription mentioned above. Marks include STERLING, M.E. Freeman & Bro, the hand logo for A. G. Schultz & Company of Baltimore and 401. A.G. Schultz & Co was listed in Baltimore City Directories from 1899-1950 as manufacturers of sterling silver holloware. Wonderful oil on board of chickens and ducks by Belgian artist, Francois (Franz) Van Severdonck, c.1809-1889. Approximately 14 1/4" x 18 1/2" WITH the frame. WITHOUT the frame it measures 8 1/2" x 12 3/4". Signed lower left. On the back there is a gallery lable which is written in Dutch. The Gallery is DE KUNSTKAMER. I believe the frame is not original to the painting but it is very nice and brings out the beauty of this painting. The board is old mahogany and is in good condition with a few small retouches that show under a black light.   « Less

Gorgeous miniature Navajo Indian rug by Victoria Begay. Approximately 6" x 5 1/4". The colors are tan, light tan, blue, dark brown, light brown and cream. It is lovely and in great condition as you can see from the photos. It came from a family member's collection who visited the southwest twice a year for 20 years. The tag says Victoria Begay. Gorgeous rococo revival coin silver butter dish with beautifully sculptured cow finial by Grosjean & Woodward made for Tiffany & Co. c.1850s. Approximately 5" high and 5 1/2" in diameter. 16 troy ounces including the reticulated insert. 4 feet. No monogram. Marks include TIFFANY & CO, the bullet mark for coin silver and G & W. (Grosjean & Woodward). Tiffany, in the early years, before they manufactured their own silver, purchased their silverware from a variety of the major silver manufacturers of the day, among them Grosjean & Woodward. Beautiful oil painting of sheep in Normandy by listed artist, H Peabody Flagg. c.1912. Approximately 9 1/2" x 13 1/2" WITHOUT the frame. WITH the frame it measures 13 1/2" x 17 1/2". Signed lower left "H. Peabody Flagg 1912". On the back is a lable that reads "FAVOR, RUHL & CO.'S "VANDYKE" CANVAS BOARD The fabric used on this board is woven specially and prepared with a pronounced surface NEW YORK BOSTON CHICAGO" Also written in cursive is Late November, Normandie. Henry Peabody Flagg was born in Somerville MA in 1859. He was a pupil of Carolus-Duran in Paris. A member of the New York Arch League., 1899; Boston Art Club; Salma Club, 1904. There are two historical paintings in Flower Memorial Library, Watertown NY. His address in 1929 was 26 E. 23rd St., NY, NY. He died in 1937. He is listed in Who was Who in American Art, Fieldings and Mallett. Very good condition.   « Less

Gorgeous and unusual pair of sterling silver candlesticks by Tiffany & Company of New York. Approximately 4" tall with removable bobeches. They weigh approximately 8.13 troy ounces. Decorated with applied cherubs. There are two different cherubs on either side. They are seated surrounded by a garland of roses and other flowers and leaves. On the top sides are applied decorations of a horn and an arrow. See photos. Marks include TIFFANY & CO, 9323 MAKERS 3429, STERLING SILVER, 925-1000 and the letter T. The letter T tell us that these were made between 1891-1902. No monograms. Very good condition.   « Less

Signed Thomas Webb & Sons Gem Cameo vase made for Tiffany's Paris Exhibition of 1889. Three colors/layers. White on coral pink on bright yellow. Flared rim on elongated neck of bulbous body of bright yellow overlaid with white over coral pink. Cameo cut and carved overall in honeysuckle blossoms, leaves and stems. Fine border carving. Fully marked in banners "Tiffany & Co., Paris Exhibition 1889, Thomas Webb & Sons, Gem Cameo". 14 1/2" high. Very good condition except for one small fleck on the top outside edge. Unusual Tiffany sterling silver Saratoga chip server. Approximately 9" long and 6 troy ounces. The bowl measures 4 1/4" in diameter. Monogrammed with what looks like JEP. Marks include TIFFANY & CO, STERLING, PAT. 1890 and the letter M. The letter M stands for Edward Moore circa 1875-91. The saratoga chip server is a hard to find piece. Potato chips were invented in Saratoga Springs NY and that is how this unusual piece got it's name. Very good condition.   « Less
