Antique cast iron doorknob sets with plates, made by Reading Hardware in the “Belfort†pattern. Circa 1900, this gorgeous Art Nouveau door hardware features an asymmetrical, beautifully cast design of leaves, scrolls, and abstract Art Nouveau or Rococo detail with cutouts in the plates. The plates are signed “R.H.C.†with the pattern name. Each doorknob is 2 ¼†in diameter and 2†deep; the backplates measure 8 ¼†by 2 1/8â€. A very unusual antique Eastlake exterior mortise lock by J.B. Schroder, c. 1885, with its matching cast bronze strike plate, featuring a diagonal geometric design. This hardware design is classified as F-127 “Schroeder†in Leonard Blumin’s Victorian Decorative Art classification book. This entry door lock has a faceplate 8†by 1-3/8â€, a 3-1/4†backset, and the lock body measures 4-7/8†tall and 4†deep. The coordinating strikeplate is 7-7/8†long.

Fabulous antique cast iron Eastlake shutter bar latches salvaged from the Starck Family "Whiskey Mansion" in Springfield, TN. Dating from 1878, the mansion was built for a son of the Starck family by father John Starck, a whiskey distillery owner and the founder of Springfield National Bank. Each shutter lock is ornamented with a flower on each side and a fan design across the bar. These are reversible and can be used for either right-hand or left-hand swing. They would also make wonderful cabinet or cupboard latches. Each latch measures 1-13/16†tall and approx. 1-3/4†wide. THE PRICE LISTED IS FOR EACH LATCH -- 11 AVAILABLE.
