19th century or earlier Monochrome reticulated vase, creamy crackle glaze, garlic bulb neck. Good Luck, Fortune and Happiness characters on upper globe. Lower globe has phoenix and five toed dragons chasing a heart shaped flaming pearl, ruyi and lappets. Massive but subtle and appealing. Nice waxy feel to porcelain. Dimensions: 15 3/4"(40cm) height 6"(15.25cm) upper globe 9"(23cm) lower globe: Condition: Very good. No chips or frits, normal wear Has been drilled for lamp. Base may have been retouched. This is an exceptionally nice CHINESE EXPORT CANTON large soup tureen with underplate and large serving spoon in fine heavy white porcelain,. The Tureen looks terrific with earlier blue and white, is handsomely crafted and hand painted. The tureen dates to the late 1940's and is a really fine item for a fraction of the price of pieces not much older. And, you can use it with out the fear of damaging a four figure tureen. Here is an exceptionally crafted PRUNUS (plum) BLOSSOM blue and white tea pot and four tea bowls, painted in fine underglaze blue, cracked ice patterned reminiscent of the finest Kangxi .The style is subtle, refined and elegant to the Chinese taste. The quality of the porcelain, the well defined painting and cobalt color appear to be period KANGXI workmanship. The four cups bear a blue circle typical of Kangxi on the under base, and I would like to say this is of the period, but I believe it is mid 19th century, due to the condition of the wood on the handle which could be a replacement. Here is a hard to find pair of tall 19th century Rose Mandarin Vases. The large 11 3/4" vases have well painted famille rose details, and indentions on rims. The vases are highlighted by foo dog handles, applied lizard scrolls. Vases are in very fine condition, with normal wear for the period. There is one minor under rim chip, minor glaze losses. Vases are marked "China" in an oval on base, dating from 1890 to 1920. Height: 11 3/4" Tall 4 1/2" Wide 4" Mouth Opening.   « Less
