circa: 2000 width: 21 height: 39 length: 20 These stunning solid mahogany King James style dining chairs are carefully made using the finest in antique style materials and techniques. The solid mahogany, being treated to an elaborate hand-finishing process that includes distressing and polishing, displays a strikingly rich complexion and distinct grain that are equaled only by the impressive detail shown in the carvings along the backrests and armrests. Because these dining chairs are solid mahogany, they possess a strength and durability that cheap imitation furniture cannot hope to rival and, moreover, the straight square legs are quite strong. The upholstered seats complement the solid mahogany wonderfully, and as has been customary in antique chairs for centuries, they are removable for easy cleaning, so there is no need to worry about dirt buildup! These solid mahogany King James style chairs will definitely last for decades and, if treated well, for generations, so making a set of these chairs part of your home furniture collection could very well be a lifetime investment! « Less

circa: 2000 width: 38 height: 44 length: 22 This bow front chest of drawers is bench-made in England as a Georgian period reproduction. Like all of our English reproduction furniture, this bow front chest of drawers is crafted using only the finest in materials and techniques. In this particular bow front chest, the wood is distressed, finished and polished all by hand to produce an incredibly rich complexion and grain that are complemented quite beautifully by antiqued brass hardware. This bow front chest also comes with optional crossbanding, which complements the principle wood type to beautiful effect. With a classic two-over-four drawer design, this bow front chest of drawers offers plenty of storage, while the top two drawers lock. Each drawer features hand-cut dovetailed drawer joints, indicating fine craftsmanship, and this high standard of quality is maintained from top to bottom, where lovely splayed feet provide strong support. The feet are quite thick and because of their somewhat arched design, they are much stronger than straight feet, a discovery Queen Anne craftsmen made when perfecting the similarly curvaceous cabriole leg in the early 18th century. The perfect combination of antique style beauty and English utility, this bow front chest of drawers would make a fine addition to any home furniture collection! « Less

circa: 2000 width: 38 height: 36 length: 20 This lovely Georgian style walnut chest of drawers is hand-crafted in England and directly imported to our furniture store here in Atlanta, GA. This Georgian style chest is, like all of our English reproduction furniture, made with a highest level of craftsmanship and attention to detail possible, and has a distinct look and feel that cannot be achieved with cheaply made imitations. The wood is an exquisite hand-distressed walnut with a rich complexion and pronounced grain. While it is new wood, the cabinetmaker has made the walnut so beautifully aged and mellow, the chest looks like a museum quality antique. The edges of the top are a border of crossbanded walnut, while this chest also features narrow satinwood string-inlay on the top as well as the drawer fronts. This textured contrast of the crossbanding and inlay give this chest a great deal of character and makes for a beautiful overall effect. While all the drawers boast hand-cut dovetailed and elegant brass hardware they also feature working locks and keys. Crafted with perfect fidelity to traditional English cabinetmaking, this Georgian style chest of drawers is as strong as it is beautiful, and would make a fantastic addition to any home furniture collection! « Less

The inverted bow front design certainly sets this gorgeous chest apart, giving it a classy look that, when combined with the remarkably rich flame mahogany, will look great in any setting.
