It looks like it was never used. Measures 17 and three quarter inches long by 13 and three quarter inches wide and one and one half inches high. Gorgeously hand painted scene of peasant women washing linens and travelers refreshing themselves and their horses at a classical water fountain in the mountainous countryside. Bordered by putti, floral swags, and seashells. Measures 24 and one half inches long by 17 inches wide by 2 and one quarter inches deep. Excellent condition. « Less

We are pleased to offer this large and heavy oriental platter. Marked on the back with 3 impressed characters, the letters s and o and the number 1. The platter is either ironstone or porcelain, based on the weight could very well be ironstone. Superb condition, no chips, cracks or repairs. The length is about 18 1/2" and its about 13 1/2" wide. It tapers upwards to a height of 2 3/4". Central theme of a pagoda and pond in blue and white. This is English in origin I believe.

Also, somebody decided to write on the back (Parker, antique from Lucynthia Parsons). The piece measures approx. 16"x 12". Crazing throughout.
