An extremely fine early Worcester sparrow beak milk jug decorated with the Mansfield pattern. The hand painted underglazed blue pattern is very clear and bright. There are no chips, cracks or restoration and only a couple of minor original firing blemishes around the bottom of the jug.These do not detract from the beauty of this stunning piece of first period Worcester which also shows the hand painted open crescent to the base. As can be seen from the photographs there is some kiln dust in the glaze of the base. Measures 98mm high x 72mm diameter at the widest point. A fine cabbage leaf jug showing the Pinecone pattern in underglazed blue. This was the Coalport style of the earlier Caughley jugs. An open crescent mark to the base. This jug is in superb condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. There are two small firing faults to the lower handle where the handle joins the body and has shrunk away during firing. These can only be seen when you turn the jug upside down. It measures 150mm high x 140mm overall including handle. A good Worcester sparrow beak jug handpainted in vibrant colours with the very rare 'Lady at the Loom' pattern. An extremely well painted example with fine detail and only very minor wear. There is a small amount of professional restoration to two short hairlines around the beak area to the left of the main loom poles. Apart from this the jug is a fine example and displays beautifully. A splendid example of an early C1757 Worcester Sucrier hand decorated in underglazed blue with the Feather Mould Floral pattern. A beautifully moulded Crocus flower head knop with slightly raised stem. This is a particularily fine example as the knop is in the correct proportion. You will see some with very small and poorly moulded or more flared knops. There are no cracks, chips or restoration to the body or lid, a petal has cleanly broken off and been re fitted showing a very faint barely visible line. Very 1930s Deco style creamer and sugar by prestigious English pottery Minton. Earthenware in the cream body favoured at the period. Rather Clarice Cliff in style. The creamer has a tight hairline on the outside, from the rim down about 5 cm of the side. This shows only on the rim inside, and very very faintly the rest. Still well usable, and stylish design makes it very collectable. Sugar is in perfect condition. Sugar is 5.75 cm (2.1/4 inches) high and 9.5 cm diameter (3.3/4 inches). Creamer is 9.5 cm high (3.3/4 inches). Makers mark dates it to 1912-1930s. Priced for the fault.   « Less
