This beautiful piece is an antique Wavecrest puffy dresser box made of Opalware. It was made by C.F. Monroe Glass Company of Meriden, Conn. at the turn of the century. It does have the Wavecrest stamp on the bottom. The box is adorned with delicate flowers and birds, typical of the Wavecrest design. The box is ivory and pale blue with yellow highlights. The floral design has colors of pink, green and soft purple. The lid and the top of the box has a gold metal band with an nice ornate detail. The interior of the box is lined with a peach silk that is worn. We do have more photographs that we can email if you are interested. SHIPPING. We will be using DHL or Greyhound to ship this item. The dish is in excellent condition with out any chips or cracks. The dish is 1 3/4'' tall, 9 7/8''from side to side and front to back, and weighs 1 pound. The exact age is unknown.
