A Garniture of Three Chinese Export Famille Rose Vases, Circa 1780. The flattened baluster vases have a chicken-skin ground with shaped panels to front and back enameled in famille rose depicting Chinese Mandarin figures on a balcony of a house with, in one a landscape scene in the background and in the other buildings. ;The handles are in the form of stylized dragons in gilt and iron-red with elongated famille rose panels below with similar decoration to the larger panels. ;Around the foot is a rectangular panel in iron-red of European buildings amongst trees. ;Surrounding the handles are further panels in famille rose of birds on branches.. ;The covers are surmounted by a sitting kylin on a green flat top with below, on all four sides, shaped panels in iron-red depicting a river and branches. ;One vase has been repaired and chips to the edges of the covers have been filled in invisibly. Height: 13 inches x 4 1/2 inches width x 2 1/2 inches depth   « Less

Each vase is mounted as a lamp with the ovoid body decorated with wide band of colorful flowers within a gilt decorated scrolling foliage continuing to a flared neck, high scrolling handles. ;The vases stand on on a circular foot ending in a square base upon a gilt metal shaped hollow footed base. A Garniture of Three Derby Mayflower Vases & Covers, Circa 1770-75 The vases have a quadrangular baluster shape with a square neck and are set upon a square plinth. ;The body is completely covered with applied schneeballen (may flowers) tightly packed moulded florets overlaid with branches bearing berries in imitation of Meissen Schneeballen wares. ;A quadrangular-shaped domed cover is surmounted by a pointed berry finial. ; The whole painted naturalistically in enamel colours, green on the florets and red on the berries with gilt highlights on the rim and foot. The miniature vases with a circular bulbous base and long neck have a flared foot with applied enamel balls imitating pearls which are also seen on the interior of the neck. The white ground has scattered gold flower-heads and an oval blue enamel panel to each side with white enamel flowers.Upright smaller blue panels similarly decorated are on the neck.
