A beautiful antique exterior doorknob and matching doorplate, c. 1905, in cast brass. The doorknob features a fourfold design of flowers connected by a bellflower garland; the backplate is crowned with an anthemion and volutes at both top and bottom, with a bellflower border. The door knob takes a 3/8†spindle; the escutcheon plate is 2-3/4†wide and 10-1/2†long, and the doorknob is 2-1/4†in diameter and 2-1/4†deep.

Rare antique cut and pressed glass door knob sets made by Pierre Guerin in 1914. Featuring a gorgeous prismatic design, the knob set also includes matching rosettes. Each doorknob is approx. 2-1/8" in diameter and 2-3/8" deep; the rosettes are 2-1/4" in diameter. These knobs have a few scratches and fleabites as shown. The set is ready for mortise lock installation. If you are using the knobs in new construction, we also carry a modern latch that is compatible with most antique knobs. Each set includes a pair of doorknobs with the connecting rod and set screws, and a pair of rosettes (enough hardware for one door). THE PRICE LISTED IS FOR EACH SET, THERE ARE THREE SETS AVAILABLE.

A hard-to-find signed Russell and Erwin “Carpenter Pattern†horizontal rim lever lock, dating from the early to mid 19th Century. Featuring a seal with an eagle signed “Russell Erwin & Co Manufacturers,†this carpenter lock includes its original large skeleton key and catch. The skeleton key has an oval tab of wood wired to it -- an intriguing primitive keychain. The box lock functions well. The lock body is 5†by 3-3/4â€; the catch is 3-3/4†by 1-1/8â€.

A beautiful antique brass door hardware set, in Yale & Towne’s “Meridian†design, circa 1910. This hardware features an elegant Neoclassical scroll design with unusual oval doorknobs; the plates are crowned with palmettes and ornamented with volutes. This door knob set is in excellent condition with a lovely patina. The backplates are 2 3/8†by 8 ¼â€. The doorknobs are 2 ¾†tall, 1 5/8†wide, and 2 1/8†deep.
Trivia Fact: In the movie “The Help,†Skeeter’s house featured Y&T Meridian doorknobs on every door.
