Antique circa 1890 enamel lady's portrait pin. It is enameled onto a silvered gilt top and pin back. The portrait is a beautiful blonde lady wearing 16th century attire. The pin has some very minor scratches only seen when tilted to the light and looked for. There is no enamel loss to the pin just some light surface scratches. Overall excellent quality and very good condition. The pin has a diameter of 24mm, 1 inch. Weight 6.9 grams. This is a beautiful pin that will be appreciated and admired by its new owner. Beautiful antique Art Nouveau FIX pin with pearls and a ruby. FIX is a French term for heavily gold applied jewelry items. FIX pieces were made during the Art Nouveau and Art Deco Era from 1890-1920. The reason they marked the pieces FIX is because the gold was so heavily applied that unscrupulous individuals were selling these pieces as solid gold. The center pearl dangles back and forth when you where the pin. It has a beautiful design and is in very good condition. From top to bottom it measures 30mm, width 26mm. Weight 2.5 grams.
