Old black painted finish with what is probably the original woven splint seat (with some breaks and wear consistent with the age). Dimensions: 33.75" ht. x 22" width x 28" depth. Seat height: 15". This chair is photographed in the Hunzinger book fig 177 (Barry Harwood 1998). This is either the last design by George sr or one of the first from George jr. Almost a rams head crest, chair is 25dx25wx35h with arms down. When writing surface drops are up the chair is approx 50'' wide. Nice pair of mission oak chairs. Great smaller size these chairs can be used for desks. The chairs are also small enough to be used for hall chairs or even childs chairs. My 5 year old fit just fine on these when they were in my own home! Chairs have been properly glued. Seats have been recovered in burgandy leather but underside has no sag webbing for strength.
