Here we have a great set of perfect, mint, Art Reed hand blown heavy goblets from his 2002 designer collection of tableware! Art’s studio is Sweetwater Glass in DeLancy, NY and his work is found in many museums. All of the goblets are signed around the pontil scar on base, “Art Reed 02”, see close-up photo. They are about 6” tall x 3 ½” wide and truly exceptional, heavy crystal! Beautifully made and beautiful form reminiscent of the early American colonial forms. SALE! Was $100. We bought this unusual and very beautiful collection from the estate of an elderly woman who had gone into a rest home. Her family was selling off the contents of her home to help fund her expensive rest home payments. She loved dolphins and collected ceramic and glass dolphins. She was allowed to take the ceramic ones with her, but the rest home had policies against glass. So the glass ones had to be, unfortunately, left behind so we purchased them as a collection to help out. So we are selling them at a loss as they are heavy and postage will be more than usual. Tallest is 12”. A 12 oz beverage can is shown for size comparison. There is one shark in the group though. It is the large clear and white glass one. The elderly woman probably never knew! All pieces are high quality and all are perfect with no damages at all. The 3 drinking glasses are Lenox Crystal, made in Germany and all are acid etched with the logo and labeled, though the color is faded on one label (the tall one) from being kept in a window. A unique opportunity to own a fabulous collection for little money!
