A hand painted Asian inspired landscape is featured on this antique tile. The foreground has a small tree on a hill overlooking a lake. Two small boats float near an island. Large mountains loom in the background, and the colors suggest a sunset feeling. The tile is all underglaze painted and is well done. The back of the tile is unmarked but has a combed back, the clay being quite dense and heavy. The condition is very good and has only minor chipping to the left edge.
