EDUARDO TOJETTI, OIL ON CANVAS, 36"" X 52"", THREE CHERUB MUSICIANS: AMERICAN 1851-1930" "Image depicts three cherubs hovering on cumulus nimbus clouds; one is shown conducting, one is playing the flute and has its back to the viewer and the other plays a violin all depicted in a romantic and airy style. Rose garland accents the lower right corner and a pieces of blue sky pierce the cloud filled ground. The painting is within a gilt frame and is signed ""Tojetti"" at the lower left corner." Eduardo Tojetti, a painter was born in Rome, Italy on March 23, 1851. He began art studies when quite young under the guidance of his father Domenico. The Tojetti family left Rome in 1867, and lost all possessions when their ship wrecked while sailing around the Horn. They lived in Guatemala until 1871 and then settled in San Francisco where Eduardo spent the rest of his life. In 1889 he was a partner of W. P. Busch in a fresco and interior decorating business with his work depicting a true romantic and European style of painting. His work ranged to portraits such as one painted in C.1912 of Woodrow Wilson, so he was a accomplished artist. Suzanne Eisendieck was married to Dietz Edzard, the important impressionists who died in 1963, both of them remain celebrated as two of the greatest exponents of the School of Paris capturing the ultimate in French Glamour in her paintings. She had lived in Paris on the left Bank and had been exhibiting in Paris since 1929, at the Salon des Independants.
