Pretty fruit knife and fork, .875 silver handles with a pattern of floral swags and silver plated tines and blade. These would date from the late 19th to very early 20th century. The mark is probably Latvian. Knife measures 18 cm long, and the fork is 16.5 cm long. They have been used, and so show signs of the mellowing that antique silver has - tiny dints, light scuffing, some spots on the plate of the blade, but nothing serious at all.   « Less

Lovely little Victorian English bon-bon dish, hallmarked for Birmingham, 1898. Maker's mark is W.D., being probably either William Deakin or William Devenport. Dish measures 2 cm high by 9 cm diameter. The pattern is an ornate flower head internally with petals of both plain and embossed flowers. Cut work pattern to sides. There is a fault, being a tear on the lip of the rim, extending down the side about 1.3 cm, repairable by a silversmith. We have priced accordingly. Otherwise, a lovely little dish and typical of the period.   « Less

This is an antique sterling silver tea ball infuser with a repousse lid. The maker is Watrous, which became part of International Silver in 1898, so the tea ball probably predates 1898. It measures 1.7" high x 1.6" in diameter. There are elaborate star patterns pierced on the sides and a large petal pattern pierced on the bottom. It weighs 28.4 g or 18.3 dwt. or .9 troy ounces. The lid closes securely. The condition is very good, no tears, just one or two shallow dings on the body. This is, after all, a true antique over 100 years old, and perfection should not be expected. Sterling Silver folding fruit or pocket knife, mother of pearl handle. Larger than normal size, with attractive engraving to the silver band to the ferrule. Full British hallmark on the blade for Sheffield, 1918. Maker is William Needham. When open, knife measures 16.75 cm long, when closed it is 9.5 cm long. Apart from a sight bend in the tip of the blade (easily straightened) and a few shallow scratches in the same place, it is in very nice condition.   « Less

Three piece vintage condiment set - salt shaker, pepper shaker and mustard pot. In the Utility style, sterling silver, hallmarked for London. Maker is Edward Barnard & Sons. The items each have different date marks, but are all by the same maker. Pepper is 1938, salt is 1933, and also bears the royal heads of the new monarchs, and the mustard is 1937. Pepper is 64 mm high and 37 mm diameter. Mustard has a blue glass liner. Condition: Very good, no dents, just a little bit of tarnish, would clean.   « Less
