Unusual Art Deco, Chinoisere jewelry box. Everything about this three drawer jewel box is out of the ordinary. From it's Asian influenced shape to it's pressed brass exterior. The entire chest appears to be wood, covered on the front, top and sides in a leaf, vine and grape patterned brass. The back side and bottom are lacquered wood and the drawers are wood faced in the same brass and lined in maroon fabric. Original, simple dark brass ring pulls complete this piece. Everything is in "as found" good condition and appear to be original with the possible exception of the fabric lining the drawers which is in unworn condition. 9" tall x 11 1/4" wide x 6" deep.   « Less

Art Deco polished chrome cocktail shaker. Fresh from an immaculate local home, this tall elegant cocktail shaker is in the most amazing original condition imaginable. The family member who sold it to us assured me it had been used but you would never know from looking at it. Completely clean in and out, both the top lid and spout cover fit perfectly, no scratches or dents anywhere. Perfect for the fussy collector. Very fine, ornate, Art Deco brass bird cage and stand. This cage and stand is the most elaborate one I have ever seen. The cage is solid brass and rose decal decorated glass. The cage hangs from a brass and white metal surround full of fine detail. The stand itself is brass and white metal with inserts of soft green stone (marble, alabaster?) the base piece features beautiful dark veining. The cage can be used as a table top model or hung from the stand. The stand is in all original good condition with only very minor damage to a small decorative element. The cage is in all original good condition with two cracked glass panels (both plain glass). 73 " tall x 21" wide and the cage is 14 1/2" tall x 11" x 8".   « Less

Bronze, Art Deco lamp in the form of a dragon. Wonderfully fluid and detailed, this unusual, tall, table lamp is as much art as it is lighting with what appears to be an angry dragon balanced on it's front leg with it's tail twinning around the large "S" curve of the lamp arm. The base of the lamp is in the shape of a large leaf, very organic and Art Nouveau in feeling. Beautiful original patina, original socket and pull chain. Period frosted glass four sided shade that is not original. Very good original condition, with only one minor issue, an 1/8" gap between the top of the tail and the curved arm that was originally soldered together and now has a small gap. 24 " tall x 12" wide by 5" deep.   « Less

A rare R Lalique 'Victoire' mascot by Rene Lalique, model introduced 18 April 1928, (Marcilhac 1147), "in clear glass with a very good amethyst tint, signature R Lalique on base, 25.6cm long. This model is also known as 'Spirit of the Wind'. For more information on this model, see Nicholas M. Dawes, Lalique Glass, Crown Publishers, Inc., 1986, p. 74, fig. 146. This particular model is considered to be one Lalique's best pieces of Art Deco design and is the largest, most famous and beautiful of Lalique's range of 30 mascots. Also see "The Art of Lalique" page 101 by Patricia Bayer and Mark Waller foreword by Marie-Claude Lalique. Measures 10 and one half inches long. Condition excellent no chips or brakes. There is on small surface scratch under the neck which could be buffed out. This piece was consigned to us from a long time collector of rare and historically important Automobile memorabilia.   « Less

Ebonized French Art Deco vanity c1920. This is rare piece of French Art Deco furniture made from a fruitwood. The case back,bottom and drawers were all made from large hand cut dovetails and the front has a wonderful wave design. There is a single center drawer and two small drawers just above the two doors. This is with out a doubt one of the best pieces of Art Deco we have ever had the good fortune to acquire. This French art deco furnishing measures 49 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 52 inches high at the back, is 27 and one quarter inches high to vanity surface and is 30 and three quarter inches high at the sides.   « Less
