A fabulous antique brass two-light chandelier, dating from the 1920’s, with original milk glass shades ornamented with a leaf border. This pan light fixture begins with a foliate loop finial; the chandelier body is ornamented with a fan design on both the front and back. Each chandelier arm is ornamented with a foliate design and supports a simple shade holder with a beautiful milk glass shade. Each shade features a wide border of leaves. This light fixture is in excellent condition. The shades are in very good antique condition with a chip on the rim of one shade (pictured) that is not visible when the shade is mounted on the light fixture. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier begins with a volute loop ornamented with a polychrome crest; below, five heavy brass bands support a wide, hammered brass ring that forms the chandelier body. The chandelier arms, each ornamented with a shield, hold crenelated bobeches with a red rope border and a spike finial. Between each arm, the chandelier is ornamented with volute detail and crests. The chandelier begins with a beautifully cast, silver plated canopy ornamented with leaves, flowers, and reeds. Below, the chandelier body is crowned with a loop finial ornamented with volutes and leaves, below which a finely detailed baluster supports the chandelier body. The underside of the chandelier is hung with icicle prisms and ornamented with acanthus leaves; five chandelier arms, ornamented with foliate detail, radiate from the center and support foliate bobeches with dangling finials. The bobeches are connected to each other by volutes with an anthemion in the center. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation.
