Boylston Antiques is proud to present This Walnut Etagere Waterfall Whatnot C. 1870. 3 Fretwork galleried shelves atop 2 un-galleried shelves, united by turned supports. Top 4 shelves have turned finials where the supports pierce the shelves. Each shelf features superb serpentine curves in front and on the sides. A wonderful example of Rococo Revival style in America. It is sometimes called a “Waterfall Whatnot” due to the graduation of the shelves. Measurements: Height: 58 inches. Width: 36 inches. Depth: 15 ½ inches. A wonderful display piece for your collection of fine glass or china! Condition: . This piece is in overall good condition. It is sturdy. There are some minor nicks and scrapes, especially along the leading edges of the shelves, consistent with the age of the piece. Some of the fretwork has been re-glued. All items are sold "as is" and all sales are final. This is an antique piece of furniture; small nicks and scratches are part of the beauty of an antique and are not described unless significant.
