This item has been SOLD. From his Little Bighorn series, an oil painting on 19th C ledger paper," The Decoy at Dead Mans Curve in greasy grass", depicting a Sioux warrior on horseback at the gallop. Signed M Locke and dated 1993. Merle Locke is a descendent of the Lakota Sioux and currently lives in Porcupine, South Dakota. Much of his work is created on antique ledger paper in the manner of early Native American artists. This painting is framed and in excellent condition. There is one slight flaw in the glass.
