This is a Northern Song dynsty qingpai hexafoil bowl from the well known hetian yao or hetian kiln. It has a very artistically free hand incised flower on the cavetto and center of the bowl. It has a beautiful sky blue colour. Generally it is in very good condition. The glaze condition is good with some minor manufacturing faults and glaze crazing as shown in the pictures. There is only a small nick which has a restoration on it, as shown in picture 3. It does not affect the aesthetic of the bowl at all. The footrim is a bit uneven and flatten at certain place, see picture no. 4. It is flatten between 6 o'clock to 9 o'clock. Two ancient bronze "coins" shaped like small bowed knives. Both have encrustation on the bronze of varied coloration including that of a a blue-green malachite color. Period: Shang Dynasty (1600-1028 BC) Sizes: One is 14.5 cm long. The other is 17.7 cm long. Condition: The coins have natural wear and small chips to their rims and encrustation due to age. It is beautifully potted in an ovid melon form with in a transparent icy green glaze, with the rounded side tapering to a short foot. The qingpai glazing which is uneven, fall short of the short foot-rim with a recessed base. There are no repairs or restorations. There is some minor firing fault, degradation, glaze crazing and minor losses as shown in all the photograps. Minor scattered oxidise spot as shown in all the photographs. This is a medium size Han dynasty green and amber glazed vase. It is pretty rare to a vase with dual colour glazed. The vase has a flatten base, without footrim, then everted uowards to a bulb shaped body and then towards a short neck and everted mouth rim. The base of the vase showed that it is produced from red pottery earth. There are degradtion to the glaze as shown very clearly in the photos.Ther are no chip, crack or restoration to Han dynasty vase. The height of the vase is 21cm and the width is 16cm. This is a large Song dynasty cizhou glazed rectangular shaped pillow. The top of the pillow is incised with a single stalk of lotus flower in a pond within a carttouche inside a double line rectangular frame. Some minor chips as shown in the picrures, especially number 4, along the edges. There are also some soil calcification especially can be seen on the top left hand of the pillow, abrasion and wear. Overall in good condition. The measurement of the Song dynasty cizhou glazed pillow is: the length is 32cm, the height is 12.2cm and the width is 17.2cm.
