This enchanting Art Deco chandelier displays its original nickel and bronze plated finish. This chandelier meets the chain at a large loop style top finial, which is connected to a thick center rod that is adorned with tri-ribbing along either side. The center rod meets an irregularly shaped globe, ribbed at the base, from which three slightly bent rods make arms. The globe’s underside supports a marvelously futuristic style finial. Orbiting the chandelier at the end of each arm, one will find a stylized cone-shaped bobeche within which sets superb custard glass “pudding bowl” shades. The shades are marked Czechoslovakia (see finial image). This adorable three light chandelier is one of those quintessential Art Deco pieces that give one a nostalgia for the “future” as it was dreamed back then. This chandelier is in excellent condition, and displays only minimal “flea bites” to the glass. These are not noticeable when the shades are in place, and do not affect the attractiveness of this piece at all. It has been professionally rewired, and it comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The overall diameter is 15”; the length of the chandelier only is 12 ½”; the overall length is 23”.   « Less

NSP138 This beaming pair of cast sconces were made in the 1920’s and holds their original golden brown polychrome finish. These sconces display a circular shaped, scalloped back plate, which extends creating a palmette that is framed by a styled accolade. The base of the back plate begins with a corresponding palmette and showcases a center fleuron framed in a mosaic style casting. The fluted arm branches out from each of these sconces to hold a festooned bobeche. The wall lamps are in excellent condition. They have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctional antique turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we would gladly replace them with new ones if so desired They are 11 3/8” long, 4 7/8” wide and protrude 5” from the wall.   « Less

This is a wonderful antique Art Deco American stained glass window, dating from the 1920’s. The window features a beautiful multicolor slag glass flower with a cream-colored slag glass panel on either side, followed by violet slag glass panels. The background is formed of clear granite glass with a light amber granite glass border. The glass is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks; the frame is in very good antique condition with some peeling paint. The window measures 20” wide and 30 ¾” tall, with a frame 1 3/8” thick, and the glass measures 15 ½” wide and 25 ¾” tall.   « Less

Although we do not know the designer, we can see the influencing of Rohde of his contemporaries. There is actually two cabinets that can be separated if your space does not allow the two pieces together. It is, however, more stunning when pulled together.Being free from the constraints of society manifested itself in all forms of design. The curved corners are distinctive detail of this piece and age in which it was created.The handles are slightly lighter in color to the veneered maple finish in order to contrast the plane.The condition is consistent with age. There is a little water damage on the bottom corner and the veneer is missing in two small areas(this will be repaired prior to delivery). The concealed brass wheels allows for easy movement.
