Two unusual antique Victorian gold filled fob bracelets. There are 17 fobs, one has a carved squirrel on the face, one is an empty fob, one is a carnelian agate with a lyre above it, one is a roller with engraved names, one is a bloodstone with 2 initials, one is a blue turquoise with a ship engraving, one is a garnet with a moth engraving, one is a bloodstone with a bird carving, one has an amethyst, there is another amethyst fob, one with a pale blue stone and cross at the top, one has a carved citrine with a bird and an olive branch in its mouth, another fob has a carnelian carved with a Daschund, one of the fobs is empty, another fob is a shield shaped carved citrine, another fob has an amethyst, and the last fob has a helmeted carved portrait. The bracelet with the most fobs on it measures 6 inches long. The bracelet with 5 fobs measures 6-1/2 inches long. The 2 bracelets have combined 17 fobs, they can be mixed and match to make a bigger bracelet or worn individually as necklace pendants. This is a nice old collection dating from the 19th century. Beautiful antique Religious FIX pendant dated 1906. FIX is a French term for heavily gold applied jewelry items. FIX pieces were made during the Art Nouveau and Art Deco Era from 1890-1920. The reason they marked the pieces FIX is because the gold was so heavily applied that unscrupulous individuals were selling these pieces as solid gold. It has maker's marks at the top of the loop. The obverse is artist signed in the lower left. The beautiful high relief sculpture portrait depicts Jesus Christ offering bread and wine to a child.
