In the style of the famed Woodstock artist William Hunt Diederich, this smoking standing surpasses the functional and enters the realm of art. The curving form makes a superb statement when displayed against a wall. The piece is all hand hammered and forged, with the hinged beak being cast aluminum. The top of the beak opens and exposes a removable tray or ash receptacle. Originally made as a smoking stand, the beak can also just as easily hold candies, or simply display as a object of folk art. No makers mark is found on the piece, and it remains with it''s original patina. It is a superb piece that can easily be used in interiors from primitive through modern.
