Antique, Victorian earrings. 14carat gold set with turquoise and pearls. Made 1830 - 1870. Measurements: 1 3/4 inches long. Weigh 6.9 grams. Suspended from a gold globe on a stud (replacing the original wirework), the surmount in the form of a bow, set with cabochon turquoise. This is attached to band of cabochons that loops around itself, like an irregular number 8 and is surrounded on the sides by foliage in applied gold leaves. Within the larger, upper loop of the ''8'', are dangling suspended tiny gems -a pearl and turquoise. The lower looping band also suspends a pair of gold leaves, matching those on the outer border with a larger pearl forming the bottom terminal. The earrings combine a fairly large size with great delicacy in the design and workmanship, and therefore suitable for all sizes and tastes and do not drag the earlobe down despite their size. Classic, well made Victorian earrings that are great for either day or night wear, with colours that match and enhance every complexion. No hallmarks, but test for 14k gold. Good condition. Status: For Sale Reference#: 4320 Condition: good Year: 1830 Title: ANTIQUE VICTORIAN EARRINGS GOLD TURQUOISE & PEARL DROPS « Less

Antique earrings. Gold and platinum, set with diamonds and emeralds. Made during the Edwardian / Belle Epoque era - early 20th century circa 1905-1920. Measurements and More »
Antique earrings. Gold and platinum, set with diamonds and emeralds. Made during the Edwardian / Belle Epoque era - early 20th century circa 1905-1920. Measurements and sizes: length is a little under 1 inch (15/16th of an inch). Weigh 5.6grams. 1.34carats of S11 old mine cut diamonds. 1.5 - 2 carats of emeralds. Gold on back of earrings tests for at least 18k; gold of hoops is 14k. Classic elegance - drop earrings with a small flower-form platinum surmount, set with diamonds leading to a small, round platinum colette-set diamond suspending a square drop with diamond background/border and a raised emerald in the center. The stones are set in platinum, but the backs are gold, in a beautiful delicate openwork design of hearts, arching well away from the gemstones - allowing the light to fall both in front and behind the emeralds. In their own way, the backs are as beautiful as the front and show the quality and care taken to make this pair of earrings. No hallmarks but gold behind earrings tests 18k; hoops 14k and tops test for platinum. Good condition with no damage to be found. Antique Belle Epoque, bracelet. 18carat gold, natural pearls, rose cut diamonds and turquoise. Late Victorian, 19th century - 1893-1905. Measurements and sizes: 7 inches long. Weighs 14.3 grams. Diameter of pearls: 6mm and 5mm respectively and turquoise is also 5mm respectively. Solid gold link chain - links that will sit flat on the arm while sides are voluptiously rounded. One pearl (the larger) is a pink-grey; the other white and the center is set with a turquoise. Raised openwork mounts display flowers well above the gold chain. A gold safety chain ensures that the bracelet stays safe and indicates the value with which the bracelet was considered. Beautiful Belle Epoque workmanship and style. The clasp is hallmarked with an owl in an oval - a mark used in France from 1893. Good, original condition. The turquoise has natural cracks, shown in the ''photos. Very rare Georgian earrings - 18k gold, Burma rubies and turquoise. Made circa 1760. Measurements and sizes: 1 inch long. Weigh 2.6 grams. Exceptional, alternating natural turquoise and natural Burmese ruby earrings, ending in cruciform / cross forms that swing from the upper support. Hooks in gold are easy to put through ears and comfortable to wear. The contrast between the colours is totally striking - the blue jumping out from the bright pink, which flashes beautifully as the light catches the gems. Increasingly rare to find earrings of this age in such great condition with such a striking attractive appearance. Like all jewellery of this age, no hallmarks. Very good condition. ntique Georgian or very early Victorian ring. Tourmaline and two diamonds set in gold and silver. Made early 19th century. Measurements and sizes: US size 8 - will fit a large finger (or could be resized for a smaller one). The tourmaline was GIA assessed at 2.5ct and the S11 rose cut diamonds at 1carat. Weighs 7.1grams. Most of the setting is gold, which tests for at least 22k. Gold alternates with layers of silver. Both gold and silver are decorated with exquisite fine chasing. The gold surrounds and encloses the stones in late Georgian style colette settings. Raised above the level of the rest of the ring, a rectangular, deep green, faceted tourmaline. The colour ranges from deepest dark to emerald, depending on how the light catches it. It has a totally regal appearance. It is surrounded on either side, lower in height, by a pair of rose cut diamonds, at least a carat in size (together). The diamonds are supported by branched bands of gold. THe workmanship of this ring is great and the overall effect is awesome: few rings will command the attention that this beauty does. A definate personal favourate. The ring, like most antique jewellery, is unmarked, but the gold tested for at least 22k. Very good, original condition. Antique, Edwardian ring. Platinum set with a cushion cut Mexican fire opal, surrounded by a ring of diamonds. Made during the first decade of the 20th century - 1900 - 1910. More »
Antique, Edwardian ring. Platinum set with a cushion cut Mexican fire opal, surrounded by a ring of diamonds. Made during the first decade of the 20th century - 1900 - 1910. Measurements and sizes: Just under a US size 7. Weighs 2.3grams. Just under a half carat of diamonds. Exquisitely made ring: a flower formed by a ring of diamonds - European cut, S11 in a filigree platinum setting. The diamonds enclose a marvellous cushion cut fire opal of an amazing shade of orange. This ring was my personal favourate for many years and taught me to truly appreciate the colour orange. This stone is a good indication of why the fire opal is the national stone of Mexico. Workmanship is fabulous - from the tight setting of the diamonds, to the creamy cutting of the opal and the openwork supporting ''scales'' at the back. Hallmarked PLAT 100. Good condition. Estate ring. Platinum set with a 2 carat emerald offset by diamonds. Has Victorian look, but believed to be made much later - possibly 2nd half of 20th century. Measurements and sizes: US ring size 7. Weighs 4.5 grams. Stones: 2 carat emerald; .036ct diamonds. Sold to me as Victorian, but I believe it to be 2nd half of 20th century. Gorgeous, delicate design with lacy openwork finely set with diamonds in filigree platinum, surrounding and framing a beautiful 2 carat, pear-shaped emerald, somewhat raised above the plain of the diamond background and enclosed in a platinum colette. The fine diamond lacey background continues on the shoulders. No hallmarks, but tested as platinum. Very good condition. y-smoothe, flexible and sturdy chain. Since the links face all directions around the tube, they catch and play with the light in an understated display of the gold''s brilliance. We had the simple clasp added to the chain in order to facilitate putting it on. The side loops were already there, so the chain''s integrity was not compromised in any way. The slide in repousse gold in Rococo foliate form with exquisite detail. Can be brought up to sit at the nape of the neck, or lower down, closer to the rest of the enhancements. The chain terminates in the original watch fob, a cuffed hand. According to the book, Understanding Jewellery by Bennett and Mascetti (page 130), Gold hand clasps were popular between 1830-1840. This is not a true clasp as it does not open, but it is very beautifully done with super detail and extraordinarilly, the part directly above the cuff is linked to a repousse foliate section (matching the slide in theme), via very finely made hinges. This results in greater movement. The hand is joined to a series of bars, links and loops, presumably for hanging more enhancers. The whole terminates in a triple chain with tassles. The ''housing'' of the tassles in two-coloured gold, with raised foliate decoration and a line of black enamel (with a minute fleck missing as seen under a magnifying glass). A very full fringe of bead-tipped tassles. I believe the tassles may be a later addition. There are a number of eagle-head hallmarks, as can be clearly seen in the ''photos. Good condition.
