Marvelous antique industrial cage lights, dating from the first part of the 20th century. Perfect for any industrial or contemporary style space. Signed McGill, these fixtures feature a porcelain and silver fitter, pull switches and a metal "cage" surrounding the exposed Edison bulb. Each light hangs by a thick black wire from a simple canopy. Some of the canopies have a small separation as shown, which are barely noticeable and will not affect the functionality of the fixture. The lights are in very good antique condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. Each light fixture is 3 3/4" wide, 9" tall, and 45 1/2" long overall. THE PRICE LISTED IS FOR EACH LIGHT; THERE IS NOW ONE AVAILABLE.

A quite usual fixture, definitely more than 50 years old based on its original fitter but retaining a very modern feel and the earth tone orange graphics work well in a transitional style making it much more adaptive to any warm decor. I actually have a pair of these with their original chrome fitters. They do need a button trim on each at the tip of the cone, I will leave that little detail for you to select from any decent lighting store. « Less

Very unusual antique light fixture with its original conical opaline glass shade, patented by George Ainsworth in May, 1934. This pendant light begins with a tilting chrome canopy, allowing it to be mounted on a sloped ceiling. It has a chrome pole with an elongated fitter to support its original cone-shaped opaline glass shade. The conical white shade features a brown foliate and vine pattern around the middle, tapering to a pattern of starbursts and papyrus leaves. As detailed in 1934 patent #1957192, the fixture was designed with its unique shade to "intercept all the light that normally would be distributed downward and redirect the major portion of it over the broadest possible ceiling area above the device." This light fixture is in excellent antique condition with no cracks or breaks to the glass, just the expected fleabites around the edges. It has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures approximately 15-1/2†wide, 12†tall, and 32-1/2†long overall. Coordinating light fixtures available under items #NC1341-RW and #NC1342-RW. « Less
