Czech Amphora flower basket carried by beautiful children Item# 12261 Circa 1918-1939 This is a fully signed Amphora basket that measures 10 1/2'' high by 9'' wide and 13'' long. It features two beautiful children a boy and a girl. They balance a basket weave porcelain basket applied with pale pink roses. The piece has some condition issues. There are several factory stress cracks and a poor repair of one at the underside at the boy''s foot. Both are easily repaired and do not deflect from the charm or use ability of the vase. I have floated flowers in it every Summer for over twenty years. I have included many pictures so you can get a good overview of the fabulous piece. Pair of double windows, hand painted stained glass with floral motif, last half of 1800s. The detail of the design are vivid and exquisitely done with plenty of depth due to the shading, reverse painted on the glass then fired to set the design into the glass. One set of panels is complete and original, the other set had 11 missing panes: 10 missing painted pieces (re-made by a French glass artist), one broken piece (clean break with both pieces of the pane present, repaired) and one clear glass pane replaced. The old putty needs to be removed and these windows are ready to be put back together with new zinc and set into a frame.These can be shipped without the leading, as they are now, or for an additional charge, they can be re-leaded and placed into wooden frames. Please contact us for an estimate on that work.Each piece of glass is marked and a picture with grid and corresponding placement is supplied with the windows. Dimensions of each panel (does not include the space for the zinc came) 158 cm high x 43.5 cm wide (62.25 inches high x 17.13 inches wide. Double the measurement for each window, total 4 panels.
