Art Deco Slip Shade Chandelier by a firm in Cleveland, Ohio called: The Frankelite Co. Frankelite had a logo which was a stylized "F" in a diamond device and issued their products under the trade name of "F" Diamond Lighting Equipment. This light, Circa 1933, was part of their "Fenwick Series". This chandelier was Model 1255. Their 1930s catalog says it has a spread of 21".
Frankelite was a rather small firm that very little is known about. We have a few examples of their work, and they are always rather unique and attractive stand alone lights. The name and date of these fixtures has been verified by literature from the company as 1933.
Authentic Art Deco, Slip Shade, polychrome painted 5 shade chandelier. The finish, while being cleaned up "a mite," is original and simply beautiful to the max. You cannot find a much better slip shade chandelier than this one.
Wonderful condition. The shades are simply a treat and in remarkable condition. Probably made by Consolidated Glass or another quality glass house. We re-wired it in our UL shop and it was simply neat to work with a nice chandelier like this one.
Measurements: The overall hang height is 28" but it could be shortened another 2" by removing chain links. The fixture has a spread of about 21".
This fixture can be lengthened or shortened by adding, or subtracting, chain links.

The most over-used word in the antique lighting trade is the word "rare". It is so over used for common things that when an authentic rare item comes along, the word tends to lose its punch. Since it is not in any catalog or reference book that we have in our library, it needs to be attributed by the elements of its design & construction. We, probably better than most, are most able to do this.
This Lincoln chandelier we believe, is a presentation piece. It was probably given to outstanding dealers or wholesalers as a reward for achievement of great sales. Of course, it might also have been given to retiring executives of the company sort of like the gold watch reward. Like the quality of engraved Winchester rifles, it has an amount of detail very much above the norm for a production piece.
We believe it was made by Lincoln Manufacturing who were ONE of the biggest makers of slip shade lighting in America and even sold to Sears. We "know" Lincoln design and castings quite well having handled hundreds of their various products.
Attributes we recognize different from Virden or Markel or Acme or Frankenlite or Halcolite or Globe:
1: The fixture is aluminum...Lincoln Mnf was a aluminum foundry rather than cast iron or cast zinc, or even cast bronze.
2: The design motifs and shade holding panels are similar, mechanically, to Lincoln designs such as the Fleur-de-lis.
3: The color and reliefs are similar to Lincoln designs and you can almost feel the elements from their head designer in this piece. It does go that extra mile for great design.
4: Each casting is marked with a part number. Lincoln did this exclusively and other manufacturers did this VERY seldom.
5: Only Lincoln made two other lights where the shade could be used bulb side up..or..down.
The shades are just so fantastic. Heavy custard glass with deep reliefs. Can be used two ways depending on preferences. VERY minor roughness in keeping with the fixture's age. Simply "wow" pieces of glass by themselves.
Measurements & Wiring: Totally re-wired with new sockets and wire. Ready to hang and we will supply all the necessary parts to do so easily. It is 31" tall. That large stem decoration really adds to the height. If a longer drop (height) is desired, we can add a bit of extra chain. It has an 18" diameter. If you need a shorter chandelier, it can be shortened to 24" by removing the stem decoration and some chain links.
$3,200.00 plus shipping. An excellent price for this RARE slip shade presentation chandelier attributed to Lincoln Mnf., Circa 1935. « Less

With the look of a 1900's chandelier, we offer this outstanding "silverized" chandelier. The style of this chandelier is more like Edwardian than Victorian but it keeps the "gasolier" look to it. We added our fine cut glass shades since they most resemble the single broken one we received with the light. I can see so many different elements in the design, it seems that it would blend with many decorative schemes: i.e Arts and Crafts or Edwardian and even Art Deco. While it does appear to mimic "gasolier" style, it was never gas. While the figures seem to suggest deco, it could also be bountiful harvest. All in all....it simply is a fascinating antique fixture, definitely 1900-1930.
Very imposing and definitely a subject for around the table conversation if it were to be placed over a dining table.
Measures: 49" tall with a width of 32". It could be shortened as those three support rods could be trimmed. But, if over a dining table...we would encourage leaving it at its present height. And we have re-wired this light to UL standards with new sockets and wiring. Ready to hang. Price: $1,750 with shades shown, plus shipping. « Less

One of the scarce lights of the deco era from Mid West MFG.
This is the 5 light Soleure chandelier. Mid West only made the best quality lighting. This chandelier is solid bronze with a great original finish.
The castings are so beautiful, as well, with lots of pierced parts which are...were... so hard to do as any casting man will tell you. The finish does have some minor flakes and thinning but it also has a nice mellow appearance and most vintage lighting aficionados would not touch this lovely...aged... finish.
This light has been totally re-wired as well with five new sockets and a new main stem wire. The drop of this light now is 30 inches and it has a diameter of about 20 inches..... shade tip to shade tip. The ceiling canopy measures about 7 inches in diameter. The five shades are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and they all match each other very well.
