A fabulous antique boxed newel post in heart pine, salvaged from a 19th Century home in Philadelphia. The newel features a square top accented with a row of dentil trim, with square recessed panels below. The edges halfway down feature a bead-and-reel design, flanking sets of three panels. A few of the “teeth†on the dentil trim are missing; the newel is otherwise in good condition. This box newel measures 10-5/8†wide and approx. 48†tall.

A very unusual antique cast iron & porcelain bathroom sink with fabulous wall-mounted brackets. Dating from the 19th Century, this sink was salvaged from Harrisburg, PA. The brackets feature scroll detail, and the underside of the sink is gadrooned, with an elegant scroll design above. The sink has two faucets and a charming little rectangular overflow drain. As with all antique plumbing fixtures, you may wish to have this sink refinished if you want a perfect surface, and we are unsure of the operability of the faucets. This sink is 18†tall overall, 19-1/2†wide, and projects approx. 17†from the wall.

Gorgeous antique cast iron summer cover with a fleur-de-lis, dating from the early 1900’s. This fireplace cover features a fleur-de-lis surrounded by a wreath. Around the center is decorative scrollwork with elaborate foliate and flower details. This summer cover has a fantastic aged finish with some rust. The cover measures 24-1/2" wide and 30-1/2" tall overall. The inner cover piece measures 20" wide by 25-3/4" tall.

A remarkable antique entryway 9-1/2 feet tall, including a 36†exterior door in the jamb, with a pair of arched sidelights and an arched transom. Dating from the 1890’s, this entryway was salvaged from East Tennessee, and features amazing crackled paint throughout. The entryway is composed of a triple arch, with the sidelights on either side of the door, and an arched transom above. The door features an arched glass panel, repeating the arches at the top of the entryway. This entryway measures approx. 114†tall and 78†wide overall; the door is approximately 3 feet by 7 feet.

This air return grille was salvaged from a house on 15th Ave. here in Nashville. This floor air return is in very good antique condition with a nicely aged finish. The grate measures approx. 26†by 26†overall, and the inside opening is 23-5/8†x 23-5/8â€.

Two matching large antique cast iron 6’ pediments for either doors or windows, dating from the 19th Century, featuring an elegant Neoclassical scroll design with an anthemion and acanthus leaves. We bought these from a local man who had them in his family since the 1930’s – when the Hermitage Women’s Club here in Nashville was torn down in the 30’s, the man’s mother salvaged these to use in a house she planned to build. However, she ended up building a house in a different style, and these have been in storage ever since. Each pediment measures 72†long, 16†tall and approx. 2-1/2†deep. THE PEDIMENTS ARE SOLD INDIVIDUALLY; THERE IS NOW ONE AVAILABLE.
