Vintage Maud Tousey Fangel child sleeping print frame. Artist Biography : Maud Tousey Fangel 1881-1968 Maud Tousey Fangel was born on Jan. 1st. 1881, the daughter of a professor. She began drawing in earnest when she was a teenager & studied at Boston's School art director of Good Housekeeping, Guy Fangel, who gave her her first commercial assignments & later proposed marriage to her. Their son , Lloyd, began Maud Fangel's fascination with drawing babies. She did more than 1500 pictures of him, before he was three. And later she would immortalize his face as the boy on the Cracker Jack Box. Many of her pictures were done with pastels, which allowed her to capture the movements of her young subjects. Most of her models were children from poor families, from orphanages. Unaware of this, one newspaper referred to these children as "glamor babies".   « Less

Biography Of Joseph Haydn: (March 31, 1732-May 31, 1809) Joseph Haydn was born In Rohrau Austria. He was musically gifted at a very young age of six years old. His parents, father- Mathias Haydn, (a wheelwright), count Harrach), knew there son had no chance to why they accepted an offer of apprenticeship from their relative Johann Matthias Frankh, a schoolmaster & choirmaster in Hainburg. From this point on Joseph Haydn never lived with his parents again. Moving to Hainburg (seven miles away) to be apprenticed to Frankh in his home to train as a musician.   « Less
