Large soup or vegetable tureen, Willow pattern, dating early 1800s. Early Staffordshire, it has some faults - as to be expected for the age - a little crazing inside the bottom, a chip and small hairline crack on the rim, firing crack to one handle join (in the manufacture) and a chip off the lion finial to the lid. No maker's marks. Measurements: approx. 25.5 cm high, 30 cm wide and 20 cm deep. A great display item for a dresser - and could still be used if treated with respect. « Less

Early Derby Porcelain tea set, bearing the red Derby mark for the period circa 1800 to 1825. The coffee cans are earlier, dating from the period 1770-1782. There are 26 pieces, being eight deeply dished saucers, eight tea cups and four coffee cans, slop bowl, dished plate (for serving cake or whatever?), teapot and stand saucer, creamer jug and lidded sugar bowl. The pattern is a beautiful mix of Imari colours, showing strong Oriental influence. Lots of gilded highlights, cobalt blue and iron red. The saucers - which could be used for shallow dessert bowls also - measure 14 cm diameter and 3 cm high. The teacups are 8.5 cm diameter at the top rim, and the straight-sided coffee cans are 6.2 cm high and 6.6 cm diameter at the top rim. It was the normal practice to use the same saucers for both tea and coffee cups. The creamer has a lovely high handle, and a gold pattern painted inside the lip. Lidded sugar measures about 14 cm high, 17 cm wide and 10.5 cm deep. Teapot is 14 cm high and 30.5 cm wide handle to spout. It has an oval stand plate19 cm wide.
1 saucer has a small shallow rim chip, and one cup has a short crack and an attempt at restoration. The creamer has age staining to the handle, especially the top. The teapot has a very old restoration on the spout, a restoration (old, with internal staples) to the lid and internal crazing caused by usage - all could be tidied up by modern methods of restoration. The plate has a discoloured restoration across it.
This is a beautiful set, probably more for display than use. There is wonderful gilding work on the handles etc of the teapot. And, although there are some faults, the busy pattern takes the eye away from these. A rare survivor from the late 18th and early 19th century, George III period. « Less

Vintage 14ct gold ring, mounted with a man-made green star sapphire and 20 small diamonds. The stone has a brilliant asterism of a 6-arm star, but I could not capture this in the images. This ring dates circa mid 20th century to 1970s. Face of ring measures 175 mm by 1.55 mm.
The sapphire has a rub-over setting with rhodium plated grain-set surround and twisted wire design edge, and a 4.3 mm tapered band comprising of three round wires. Most unusual and attractive. The stone is oval cabochon cut, approx. 10 mm by 8 mm by 4.5 mm estimated at 6 carats. Light green, translucent, with a good 6-ray star. Very good quality.
The diamonds are single cut, grain-set, approx. 1.4 mm to 1.7 mm, and estimated to total 0.25 carats and be of good commercial quality.
Ring fitting is English size K+ (USA size just under 5.1/2) with an internal diameter of 16 mm.
We have a valuation from 2015 for this ring, giving a Second Hand retail value of NZ$1300.00 and a New Comparison Value of NZ2300.00.
The ring is in excellent condition. « Less

Solid Bronze Art Deco Slip Shade Chandelier by Mid West Mnf
So nice to be able to offer another really fine light to you. Here we have one of the scarce lights of the Deco era from Mid West Mfg, circa 1935. This is the 5-light Soleure chandelier.
Mid West only made the best quality lighting. This chandelier is solid bronze, with a great finish. The castings are so beautiful, with lots of pierced parts which are...were...so hard to do, as any casting man will tell you. The finish does have some minor variations, but it also has a nice mellow appearance, and most antiquers would not touch this lovely...aged bronze...finish. It is simply beautiful.
The five shades are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, and they all match each other very well.
Measurements:
* Height: 26"
* Diameter: 21" from shade-tip to shade-tip.
* Ceiling Canopy: 6" diameter.
More chain could be added to extend the overall length. Please contact us for information & pricing.
This light has been totally rewired in our UL registered shop, with five new sockets and a new main stem wire. A full mounting kit will be supplied...so nothing more to buy...except light bulbs.
For the complete, UL re-wired chandelier with shades: $1,595.00 plus careful packaging and shipping.
$50.00 for Ground Shipping within the contiguous 48 states.

Art Deco 6 Slip Shade Top-of-the-Line Chandelier
This fine light has an original antiqued metal finish in outstanding condition for its age. Yes, the finish does show its age here and there...but for an antique, pretty good.
VERY nice are that each reticulated panel between the shades...between each slip shade...has a mica panel behind the reticulations for a very outstanding quality affect.
The amber shades are also in pretty good condition. There are patches of minor roughness from being removed and replaced after changing light bulbs. But overall...pretty good. They are all original with those dark purple accents both to the slip shades and the bottom shade, but a little less pronounced on the bottom shade.
Measurements:
* Height: 27 "
* Diameter: ~ 17"
Can be lengthened by adding a little extra chain. Please contact us for information & pricing.
It was totally re-wired in our UL shop, with new sockets and new lead wire. Each slip shade socket can easily take a 100 watt bulb. We are also supplying the bracket (crossbar) for this light, so literally, you can hang this light and have it working minutes after receiving it. Really a nice antique light.
Price: $1,375.00 plus careful packing and shipping charges.
