Antique Treen : Unusual Miniature / Apprentice Piece Chest of drawers C.1820+ A wonderful Antique Miniature Apprentice Piece Chest of Drawers of unusual shallow proportions with an inlaid disc to the top of four drawers - a lovely Miniature piece of furniture Circa : early 19th century Good Overall Antique Condition - untouched and uncleaned - at some point there were labels on each drawer front which are no longer present (here the screw holes from the labels has been filled and coloured looks like a long time ago) there is also a small piece of beading missing on the side and a little loss on the front right side under the drawers all very easy little jobs to do but please see images 11.5 inches (29.5cm) width X 3.5 inches (9cm) depth X 11 inches (28cm) height approx   « Less

Antique Victorian Wedgwood jug - very large size at 23 cm high and approx. 19 cm diameter. Very heavy. Typical Wedgwood classical Roman scenes with a band of stylised floral and celtic pattern bands. Acanthus leaves to handle. All in excellent undamaged and unrestored condition. There is firing crack under the base - this is inthe foot only, and does not go through into the jug itself. Impressed marks for Wedgwood, England, and a few other scattered individual numbers. Beautiful item, presenting very well.   « Less

Strange object, I have no idea what it is. It came to us along with a curved stem sort of opium pipe, same metal, same designs (see also in this category) - but this piece is either part of something, or maybe something missing. It is a long stem, with a wooden ball (with a side hole drilled into it) at one end, and a removable metal cap at the other which exposes a wooden tube with a central drilled hole. The centre of the item has a metal cage affair, and you can pull the item apart here to expose a metal blade and a much shorter small round metal probe beside this. Maybe the blade is to clean out the pipe ( if this is what the whole thing is). Or to cut up the opium?? It could possibly be part of the other item we have - if you blow through the hole in the wooden bowl, you can feel it in the blade cavity, but not at the other end of the tube. Whole thing measures 39.5 cm long and the wooden ball is 5 cm diameter (and has two chips off the wood flange at the top). We're selling this on behalf of a local charity, so have no history or explanation for it.   « Less
