Antique Mottled Gray Enamel Pail with Handle and Lid. Marked on bottom with their stamp, Lalance & Grosjean "Agate nickel-steel ware". This company, of Woodhaven, NY was one of the first in the U.S. to make enamelware. Their products were revolutionary at the time and came with a chemist's certificate stating that the enamel was "free from poison", after concerns about the enamel coating in cookware. L&G were a very highly regarded company and successful in their sales of enamel cookware among other things. They manufactured enamelware from 1850 into the 1900's. This handled pail is oval shaped with a soft mottled gray glossy finish. The handle is uncoated metal. It measures 9" x 6 1/2" x 6" tall (excluding lid handle and carrying handle). It is in amazing condition, considering its age. There are only a few minor chips..one on interior (as seen in photos) and a few minor spots on interior edge of lid. There is one spot of wear on top of lid near handle. The metal carry handle has some slight rusting. Otherwise, this piece is near perfect! Vintage genuine pearl necklace, cultured Akoya pearls (genuine ocean pearls, not freshwater), two strands of large matched pearls with a very large decorative 9ct gold clasp mounted with a large dark red stone and four pearls. The pearls are each 7.5 mm diameter, knotted between each bead. Total length is 53 cm including the clasp. The beautiful clasp is a converted Victorian late 19th century brooch - it has four circles, each topped with a 9ct gold very detailed chased leaf pattern. Intricate filigree circles around the leaves, and tiny millegrain edge to the clasp. Mounted with the central stone and four genuine pearls. The clasp measures 4 cm by 3.5 cm. This is a truly beautiful vintage necklace, probably dating early 20th century. Very good condition for the age, just very light normal wear. This is the prettiest statement necklace I have seen.   « Less

This attractive vintage Wittnaer weather station nautical wall decor , is of brass hardware white face, golden & black hands. It has clear dome, decorated gilt embossed with several marks. reverse cover is of hard plastic/ celluloid with marks, and screwed to the station. in fabulous condition, winding mechanism, with soft wear, only few scratches, uneducated of how it works. the overall measuring 6" H. from the hanging ring hardware to the end x 4.75" D. from top of the dome to the end 2.5".   « Less
