ANT-518 Antique Art Deco 5 Light Slip Shade Fenwick Chandelier c 1933 Authentic Art Deco, Slip Shade, polychrome painted 5 shade chandelier, Circa 1933. The finish, while being cleaned up a mite, is original, and simply beautiful to the max. Hard to find a much nicer antique slip shade chandelier than this one. Wonderful condition! The shades are simply a treat and in remarkable condition. Probably made by Consolidated Glass, or another quality glass house. This chandelier was made by a firm in Cleveland, Ohio called The Frankelite Co. They had a logo which was a stylized "F" in a diamond device, and issued their products under the trade name of Diamond Lighting Equipment. The fixture was part of their "Fenwick Series" Model 1255. The catalog says it has a spread of 21", but they actually rounded that figure up from 20 ½". Very little is known about Frankelite, which was a rather small firm. We have a few examples of their work, and they are always rather unique and attractive stand-alone lights. The name and date of these fixtures has been verified by literature from the company as 1933. Measurements: Height: 31" (This fixture can be lengthened by adding chain links.) Diameter: Approximately 21", as previously mentioned. The chandelier has been totally rewired with high grade sockets and new central lead wire in our UL shop. Capable of up to 100 watts per socket, for a total of 500 watts. However, if the decision is made to use incandescent light bulbs, we recommend using no higher than 60 - 65 watts to protect the fragile slip shades from excessive heat. Greater light output can be achieved using cooler compact fluorescent or LED light bulbs. ANT-517 Very Collectable Art Deco Slip Shade 6 Light Chandelier by Globe Globe Lighting Fixture Mfg Co. was located in Brooklyn, NY on 7th Avenue and 12th Street. They were not as big as companies like Lincoln or Markel, but they did make some very interesting, uniquely different...and now harder to find Art Deco lights. This 5 slip shade with one bottom shade chandelier is just such a hard-to-find and collectable light. The elements are leaning more towards the Streamline Deco. We have totally re-wired this collectable chandelier in our UL shop with medium base sockets and new supply wire. All 5 slip shade sockets can handle regular size light bulbs, but the bottom shade just does not have the room for such a large bulb...but still...does not need it, since this is a lovely accent shade. Measurements: Height: 17" overall. The length can be increased for a small additional charge. Diameter: 20" Wattage for the 5 Slip Shades: The sockets in the five slip shades are common household E26 medium base size, rated for up to 100 watts. Wattage for the Bottom Shade: Candelabra base socket, rated for up to 25 watts; bottom shade size constraints allow a C7 size night light bulb. If incandescent light bulbs are to be used in the chandelier, we recommend no more than 60 - 65 watts to protect the fragile antique glass from excessive heat. ANT-519 Pair of Matching Gothic or Arts and Crafts Style Ceiling Lights Hexagonal older Gothic lighting fixtures. We do have the matched pair (as shown), which are in remarkable condition. We really do not wish to split them up, as a pair is rather hard to find. Circa 1920 - 1940. The opal glass panels are in great shape. The Old Gold finished frame is the original finish, and is in nice condition with just the right amount of patina. Measurements: Diameter: 20" wide across the points. Height: 29" Each fixture contains FIVE light bulbs. Four sockets light the side panels. The fifth socket is directed downward to light the bottom crackle glass window, and add a little extra emphasis to the smaller side windows. The very bottom window is actually an access door for changing the light bulbs, and contains a different glass than the side panels. It is an old glass meant to direct more lighting downwards, while the four other sockets give indirect upward and side panel lighting. Both of these chandeliers have been re-wired in our UL shop, and are ready for installation. Price: $1,045.00 for the completely re-wired UL approved pair of original chandeliers in great condition.
