ANT-514 Large Gothic Cast Iron and Steel 6 Light Chandelier Very nice iron 6 light chandelier from the turn-of-the-century...circa 1920 or so. Hard to date accurately, but the quality and original cloth wiring helped us. Heavy and well made. We have restored the electrics completely with new sockets and wiring to UL standards, and this chandelier is ready to be hung. You just supply the bulbs of your choice. All the original antique crackle amber glass is in near-mint condition. These fantastic shades are one-at-a-time, hand-blown, amber shades. Each shade was handmade with mouth-blown glass by a skilled glass artist. NONE of the shades will precisely match each other since they ARE craft person created. Such is the way of art glass blown shades that are free blown instead of blown into a mold. Very close, of course, and simply...lovely! Measurements: Diameter: A grand 44" diameter (outside arm leaf to outside arm leaf). Height: 40" tall. Height can be adjusted to longer if needed. ANT-515 Art Deco Pair of Slip Shade Wall Sconces by Riddle A nice pair of Art Deco sconces made by Riddle of Toledo, Ohio in the mid 30s. In fact, these sconces are shown in our copy of Riddle's catalog of 1932. This pair of nice sconces still retains the touches of original polychrome color accents put on in the factory. Naturally, they are worn like a good persian carpet...but touches are still there. The shades are amber and in good...remarkable...condition. These sconces have been completely re-wired with new sockets and rotary switches. Sockets can easily handle up to 100 watts. If incandescent bulbs are used, we recommend no more than 60 - 65 watts to protect the fragile antique shades from excessive heat. Increased light output can be achieved by using energy efficient compact fluorescent or LED light bulbs. These bulbs operate at cooler temperatures without sacrificing light. Measurements: Height: 11" Width: 5 ¾" Projection: 3 ¼" from the wall into the room. ANT-521 Set of FOUR Art Deco Slip Shade Wall Sconces by Halcolite Halcolite was one of select slip shade light makers who made some high end quality products. They used Consolidated glass products and designs quite a bit to give their glassware a lovely accent. Halcolite was located in Brooklyn, New York at 68 34th Street. According to their catalog T for the year 1937-38, these sconces were part of the Somerset Series, which only had four items in it...a five light chandelier in two configurations; a 3 light chandelier; and these sconces. That's it. The shades are light amber (that Halcolite called golden-toned ), and in good...remarkable...condition. These sconces have been completely re-wired in our UL shop with new sockets and rotary switches. Sockets can easily handle 100 watts. However, if incandescent bulbs are to be used, we recommend no higher than 60 - 65 watts to protect the antique glass shades from excessive heat. If greater light output is needed, we recommend using energy efficient compact fluorescent or LED light bulbs. These types of bulbs emit less heat. Measurements: Height: 9" overall. Lincoln called the group that these sconces came from The Nile Group Series 8400. Lincoln's catalog described this series as such: "Papyrus, Lotus and representations of other objects, which would impress themselves upon you should you drift along with the current of the historical old Nile, are ingeniously worked out in the beautiful aluminum grill work castings, in the soft gold colored glass which hides the bulbs..." A glowing description from Lincoln. Sales techniques don't change much, do they? The deeply carved shades are gold-amber, and in good...remarkable...condition for their age. These sconces have been completely re-wired with new sockets and rotary switches. Sockets can easily handle 100 watt incandescent bulbs; however, we recommend no higher than 60 - 65 watts incandescent to protect the fragile glass shades from excessive heat. Impressive Victorian carved mahogany bookcase imported from England and dating back to the late 1800's. The top hutch has double glass doors which open to reveal 3 thick wooden adjustable shelves. On top you will find an elegantly shaped cornice with wooden button detail and hand carved rosettes to the front. All of this is mounted on top of a cupboard with carved flower detail on the double doors which open to reveal a spacious storage area with one shelf. This is topped by a single drawer and flanked by 2 beautifully shaped and scrolled columns with more hand carved rosettes. This is a grand, tall piece of antique furniture which would also make a great china cabinet or display case. The old wavy glass is in great shape for it's age and over all it is in solid sturdy condition. The hutch does come off making it easier to move and ship. As you will see in the pictures this piece is not perfect. There is a button missing from one side of the cornice and there has been some movement in the wood on one side of the cupboard causing some splitting. There is some character building wear and repair here and there which I have tried to show as much as possible in the pictures and as you can see this is still a fabulous piece of Victorian furniture.
