Original antique sconces with an original antique brass finish.
The metal framed amber shades are really quite lovely when lit with nice contrasting crystal drops below. With a strong bulb, they give an ambiance that is just lovely. Not easy to find quality like this. The contrast of the BRASS body is quite striking. These sconces have a rich formality, and yet just have so much nice detail. So unusual and so striking.
We took our picture with a mere 15 watt bulb so the camera lens would focus on the entire sconce and shade detail...not get blown out by too strong of bulb.
These sconces have been completely re-wired in our UL shop with new medium base, normal, porcelain sockets and all new wire. A mounting kit will be supplied.
Measurements:
Height: 14"
Width: 4 5â„8"
Projection: 7 ½" from the wall into the room.
Price for the pair: $825.00 plus $25.00 for Ground Shipping within the contiguous 48 states.

Artist Biography:
Joos Vincent de Vos (1829–1875) was a Belgian artist who specialized in paintings of animals.
Vincent de Vos was born in Kortrijk, Belgium in 1829 to father Jan Eugene Vos a miller, and mother Marie Anne Verhaeghe. He studied at the Kortrijk Academy under religious artist Philip De White, and Edward Woutermaetens, also a painter of animals. At the academy, his early works won medals for composition in 1848, antique images in 1849, anatomy in 1851, and the gold medal for perspective in 1852.[1]
In 1870 he spent time in Roman Campagna, Italy. But, eventually he settled down in his home town of Kortrijk, where he set up his studio, which most described a small zoo. He kept dogs, wolves, foxes, monkeys and even a camel. Small sized painting of oil on panel was the majority of his works.[1]

Superb early 19thC French master painting. Great romantic dog portrait painting " a dog with pink ribbon posing" .
Directly from a high quality estate collection. " Fresh to the market" Oil on canvas. From 1868. Superb colours and composition.
By the listed French master Leonie Leva ( 19thC) signed " Leonie Leva" and dated 1868 at the right of the painting. A very charming dog portrait painting.
.
The paintings by Leonie Leva are extremely rare on the art market. Her quality paintings, certainly his superb quality dog portrait painting is exceptional.
Her paintings are so rare as she was a member of a rich noble family, and painted only for fun and friends.
It is very rare on the art market to find such an early dog portrait painting, namely 1868. And very rare to find an oval form dog portrait painting.
I do not know the breed of this doggy.
In the original state, in the original frame.
It has minor inpaintings in the green background part. In this background part, the painting is not "stetched" enough. As this canvas is so old, we choose to leave it this way.
This painting has been cleaned for 95% and varnished.
The "face " of the dog is in perfect condition, no restorations.
In an almost perfect state, ready to hang.
A great art investment, extremely rare..
. Dimensions: of the (oval) frame: 19.3" x 16.9" ( 49 x 43 cm), of the painting: 16.1" x 13.4" ( 41 x 34 cm)
This painting comes with a full coa and a value estimation of 8,000US$
We can sell for a quite lower price, a great art investment.

Vintage oak keg on its own stand. Banded with plated rings, and having a bronze metal spigot. Traditionally, you filled the barrel with liquid (water perhaps) and waited for the oak to expand. When the rings were tight, or hammered tight, it would be waterproof, and could be then emptied and re-filled with alcohol. It's a long time since this one was used for spirits, and it may not "take up' and become tight, so selling as decorative only. The barrel measures 45 cm long and 30.5 cm diameter, and on its stand it is 48 cm high. Very good condition. « Less
